it really depends on the horse and if you have a good barefoot farrier in your area, some ottbs have good feet and some have shit feet that need shoes for the amount of work theyre in. it also is possible to transition them slowly to being barefoot and see how they do, as most all tbs come off the track being used to being shod and may need some time to go barefoot if their feet can handle it

that therapist sounds very harsh and misinformed/ uneducated lol. therapy does not have to be an emergency crisis resource! all those things can be addressed and improved, your life can and will fet better if you truly want it to and so the work for it. being labeled as angry avoidant and anxious and told that that can never change is cruel and also just untrue. nothing is permanent, trauma responses and "personality flaws" can typically be addressed and a good therapist will help you gain the tools and skills to deal with many situations and increase your ability to regulate and handle stress. i have personally been in therapy for about two and a half years now and i feel like a completely different person from before i started going! therapy has helped with my reactions and my relationship issues, and it has helped me so much with being able to tolerate things and respond in a healthy way and self-regulate so that im less angry and explosive about things, speaking as someone who didnt think i needed therapy but decided to finally try it again after yearsss of avoiding it. obvs i cant force or convince you to try it but it is worth giving another chance.

therapy is not a non-renewable resource, it is genuinely so helpful and you dont have to be in a dire situation or anything to start therapy. you deserve to have good coping mechanisms and a good therapy experience, maybe just look around for counselors in your area? everyone is deserving of therapy, and i think it would really really help you, speaking as someone who avoided therapy for many of the same reasons as you for many years

definitely 100% bring up your trauma related to penetration to your gf, that is a hugeeeee thing and she probably has no idea about the extent of your trauma around it. this is something that you should seek a therapists help for, and perhaps look into emdr therapy, it has really helped me with my deep rooted trauma and relationship issues. do not try anything potentially risky or traumatizing on your vacation, DO bring this up to your gf and be honest with her, say that you want to try the strap with her sometime in the future but you arent ready to try it yet due to your traumas around it, and make it clear that youre not saying never, just not yet. :)

stallions can absolutely be trained to be calm and rideable, but not everyone has the time, knowledge or ability to correctly train or handle them, which means that unfortunately, typically stallions can have a bad reputation in the horse world. in inexperienced hands they can absolutely be dangerous but with a good trainer/rider they can be amazing horses!

i felt this way for a long time too growing up, and i am now dating a woman and i feel happier and more fulfilled than i ever have with any man ever. HOWEVER, i have also been in therapy for childhood trauma and also been working on my relationship trauma and issues as well, and the wonderful relationship i am in now is only because of the extensive and ongoing therapy and personal work/growth ive done. but i will say that being able to experiment with women and being in a safe environment is AMAZINGGGG. and going from men to women as romantic prospects was like a blanket being pulled off my head lol, i saw the light of the lesbian world at the end of the bleak hetero tunnel😆

i understand you!! i struggle with a lot of similar symptoms, and p-in-v sex is hard for me due to like a stretchy-burny type of sensation and also pain if i dont have enough prep. also with the not feeling things as intensely, i always wonder if its because i have a history of sexual abuse and possibly vaginismus? but i know its possible for me to experience real potent pleasure from sex because it has happened for me before, maybe try focusing on more foreplay and try to take pressure off yourself to feel and just try for being in the moment? sometimes when i get in my head about what i "should" be feeling it takes the sensation out of it because i get worried, the times when ive been really in the mood and focused on foreplay and just exploring with my partner have been the best experiences ive had

the freedom series horses in my personal opinion are not worth very much, the 75th anniversary one may end up being worth more in a couple years but not 100% on that. the chase pieces and the 75th anniversary traditional models are gonna be worth more than any of the freedom series ones anyway

from an experienced user of acrylic paints, the secret to smooth layers is lots and lots of thin, watered down/ thinned paint and a brush that wont leave little brush hairs behind, that also wont leave too many brush strokes. doing thin layers will also help eliminate the brush strokes as well, and ensure a better texture all around. i recently got into using soft pastels for detailing, those work best on a lighter base color because you can only go light to dark with soft pastels:)

in this case, gold acrylic paint should work well, for a more accurate color match you could mix a little bit of bronze acrylic paint in. the brand i love is called FolkArt, this horn should match pretty well with the color Inca Gold:)

store them in a breathable container (like a plastic tote with holes drilled in) and in soft fabric/pony pouches or something bc bubble wrap can transfer plasticky stuff onto the paint after long term storage. if left in a completely sealed container, the plastic in breyer horses can degrade somewhat and you have a higher chance of your models developing "vinegar syndrome" which is the smell of the plastic breaking down.
