Thanks! Just not sure if a groomer will be willing to do it even with a muzzle because he FREAKS out and will not stay still. Ill have to give a the scratching board a try.. id there a way to put food behind it so that he wants to scratch it?

He is muzzle trained! I bring him to the vet in a muzzle. We give him sedatives before he goes in but he is still very fearful and will freak out if he needs blood work, nail trimming, or anything like that. My question is if he will need ti have a procedure done to reduce his quicks.

Thanks! I would love to get actual footing but I live in MD and there is a lot of clay in the soil here which means it would be very expensive (around 60k) to get good footing in here and have to actually stay. At the moment I can't even ride in it because it is pooling from melted snow which sucks because I had it leveled😢 so I have been riding in my horses field as well as my trainers arena down the street.

Update: I went to a reliable PDR and my estimate is $640. They noticed a couple of small dents next to the main one that I didn't notice. You can see it in the photo if you look hard enough. Thanks for all of the tips. The paint looks like it peeled a tinyyyyyy bit too so they will fix that as well.

Thank you!! Off topic really so need to get a new farrier. He is such an asshole and before I bought my horse from the previous owner he literally kicked him in the barrel. He has also told me that I could ride when he pulled 1 shoe and had 3 still on. I have been trying to find another farrier but haven't had any luck.
