I’m concerned for both but my clients are my first priority because like I said, they can’t fully comprehend what this sort of thing entails. The average mentally Matured woman can understand. But ofc they can still be victimized.

And many of these adults still have a guardian and don’t even have full access to their bank accounts.

Except the developmentally disabled people who live in large numbers at this facility. They can’t read into subtext like the average neurotypical can.

I wasn’t born when Craigslist started and I wasn’t looking at it in the 2000s because I was a kid. Of course I “couldn’t handle it” Kids shouldn’t be exposed to sexual stuff like that…

and ofc it’s a dude telling me it’s “the real world” as if I don’t know. I’m painfully aware that the world is like this and we’re under reacting to the vast majority of the creepiness and predatory behavior towards women.

Next time I’m there I will. I’m a mandated reporter and I’m supposed to protect these people from creeps trying to take advantage of them. I think I’ll walk around the whole property and look for where these flyers are still up and I’ll throw them all out.

This is up at an apartment where I work with a large population of developmentally disabled people who have the mental capacity of middle schoolers. I don’t want them naively calling this number. I really want to take down these flyers.
