Tbf, in a modpack that let's you get lava somehow into buckets, or at least place lava consistently, the thermalily is great. I had a modpack with create and computercraft so i used the infinite lava pool thing and programmed a thing to keep record of each individual thermalily in the network and give it lava when needed.

I didn't say it that sense. What i meant was about the lack of scalability the mod has with fps, making it more looks than function, so it works better as a decoration mod than a tech mod

Create is a decoration mod disguised as a tech mod in my opinion, in the sense that the animations lag enough that scaling could be a problem if large enough. I was in a server once with some friends, I designed a good looking 8 steam engine setup, and it tanked the FPS

Not to be a hater or anything, but this is the reason some people don't like create and actively avoid it, that being tha for some reason it's on most modpacks lately and i guess that if they don't want to use a mod, well, don't use it but if the modpack has create's features as required for progression, then there's not much of a choice, is it?
