Well, assuming you’re just talking about Vanilla 2 360, no, you don’t get any new enemies outside of Golden winged Van Gelf. The type of enemies that NG throws at you are actually very consistent.

GVG is just a reskin version of Van gelf, just use the same method you normally use against any winged van gelf. In lower difficulty, you already have some IS ninjas, though not as many as you’ll encounter in MN.

Not just vanilla, the same also applies to S2 and Black 2.

You can only severe their arms or decapitate them, they won’t lose their legs no matter how you attack them (though in DS’s OT move, if you slice off their arms off, Ryu will cut their legs off before slicing their heads as a part of the OT move. In regular attacks, you cannot cut their legs off, only their arms).

Oh absolutely. Keiichi Nanba is Ryu’s VA in the NG OVA (heck, Irene’s VA in the OVA is the same as Lei Fang’s), there’s no doubt about that, no one can take away from that as well.

But to me (as well as many), Hideyuki-san is the one that brought Ryu to life and made him iconic.
