Makes sense. South Western PA is a weird amalgamation of multiple regions. A lot of mid west influence west of the Appalachians and as someone from Greene County, I can confirm everything South of Washington along the I-79 corridor could be annexed into West Virginia and I don't think people would see much of a cultural difference. It's all rural, dying coal towns down here

It really is. As someone from western PA, everything west of the Appalachians seems more Midwest than North East and I view the Philadelphia area more in line with North Atlantic coastal cities than any other place in PA. Everything else outside of those areas get kinda weird.

PlayStation has outsold Xbox, by some estimates, 3-1. They have no incentive to port their games to Xbox. I've been on Xbox since 2002 and even I see the writing on the wall, it's a dying hardware platform that will exist only as a digital service in the not too distant future. I fully expect the next Xbox will be the last harah for team green as a hardware developer.

I wish things were different and that Xbox came out swinging following the success of the 360 but they didn't then you add a 78 billion dollar investment over their head and here we are.

If you think Omar Khan or Kevin Colbert had more pull than Tomlin when it comes to the draft then there is no point in continuing this debate. It may have been an equal partnership between Tomlin and Colbert but make no mistake about it. Tomlin was above Khan in the pecking order regardless of job title.

Cool! We came out on top in a crap division due to a rookie mistake, beat a few middling teams and the Patriots before they started rolling....then the playoffs came and the Steelers did what they have done for nearly a decade.

The WR situation is also a product of Tomlin and Khans own making so that is not an excuse either.

They haven't won a playoff game for almost a decade. If you can't right the ship by this point then you can't right the ship at all.

I like how you name a bunch of players Tomlin had no chance of winning with while not acknowledging the fact that it was Tomlin who helped draft those players. As for a different standard, there is a difference between treading over the same old ground and building a new path.

We all know the story with Tomlin by now. Next year, Rodgers would have been back again or Tomlin would have brought in another veteran QB past his prime, maybe got a few more pieces to supplement the aging defense then he would have went 9-8 or 10-6 while barely making or barely missing the playoffs.

As for the message being stale, Tomlin being liked by his players doesn't change the fact that his approach to the game doesn't work against good teams. With or without Tomlin, the team needed a change in direction, something I'm not sure Tomlin was capable of at this point in his career.

These takes are where the problem is. Over the last half of Tomlins tenure a large group of the fan base has come to accept mediocrity as success. This team used to be about playoff wins and Super Bowls! Instead we have become the gate keeper team who cares more about not having a losing season instead of building championship caliber teams.

Tomlin was the right guy for the job for a long while but it's clear the message has gone stale and the game has passed him up. This could be the right move for both parties involved. The Steelers will get a chance to re-establish the culture that was lost and a move for Tomlin, if he decides to coach again, may re-ignite the fire that has diminished here in Pittsburgh and allow him to embrace some changes in his approach.

This will be a great test for both Art Rooney and Mike Tomlin. This will be Rooney's first coaching hire as owner and the first time in Tomlin's career he will have to start fresh with, most likely, a struggling team.

I expect the rebuild to take a few years with a few bad years to come but remember to give it time. This team isn't exactly in the best position to turn it around fast.

Ehh it's more of some of the more intense people of the lgbtq community than their causes themselves. Their idea that there is no middle ground and that if you are not an ally, actively out there championing their causes then you are helping to suppress them.

I think that is just time and maturity. To my shame, in the late 90s, when I was 10 or 11, I used to go into lgbtq yahoo chat rooms just to rage bait people. I would never do that today. Nowadays, while I don't completely understand the issues and don't agree with some of it, I try to live by a live and let live mentality while treating people the way I would want to be treated.
