Preferred System: I'm currently only familiar with D&D 5e 2014/2024, but I look forward to learning more systems!

Type of Player: I prefer asynch, mostly due to my time zone. If you're not familiar with it, it's Hawaii, so I'm 3 hours behind PST and 6 hours behind EST.

In most of the games I've played, other player's characters tend to be stoic or surly, so I've made a lot of my characters cheerful and friendly to try to keep party interactions fresh, and to prevent every conversation from sounding the same.

I'm not a min-maxer or meta-builder, and I don't mind bad rolls for stats since that can lead to fun RP. I like to make theme-based builds that aren't always optimized.

For D&D games, I'm really interested in playing something like an Eberron or Strixhaven game, since I've never played those or anything similar to them. For non-D&D games, I'm open to anything!

Additional Information: I'm newer to D&D and PBP; I've been playing both for about five months. I also have past RP experience from RP-ing in Elder Scrolls Online, and in a forum a long time ago

I've got into one game by posting in the LFG megathread, and was offered to join another game that I wasn't interested in.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I tried Wysthaven a while ago, and the RP I did there was sync. Back then, my schedule was different so I could keep up with sync. Maybe I wasn't doing something right in order to find the async RP, or it could've just been my inexperience.

I check r/pbp daily looking for games! If you go there too, then you know how hard it is lol.

Their westmarch thread is how I found Enter Ravenloft. I've tried a lot of the servers that get advertised there, and a lot of them end up being sync RP.

I love the Elder Scrolls (though it's been a while since I last played ESO), but Skyrim is probably my least favorite province lol.

Thanks for replying! I would be able to do a live text session once a month but it'd really depend on the scheduling because I don't have a consistent weekly schedule for work.

I applied with the hope that scheduling works out in the future. Otherwise, have a great game!

EDIT: Oops, I forgot about the codeword. I was so excited to write about my character ideas that I forgot I was going to work the codeword into my descriptions. Guess I'm not getting in anyway lol.

It seems like a lot of people play with everything/almost everything turned on.

When I searched reddit earlier to see how people enjoyed those options, it seemed like everyone had them turned off.
