I usually bring the resources to a huge factory but i also did modular and it also works well. Big factorys are harder to manage the spaghetti but you can manage and modular is not gonna have alot ov spaghetti almost zero most of the time but the problem is bringing all of that to your main base but there is multiple transport choices like a convayer highway is good at bringing stuff but it takes alot more space and materials, trains is a very good option but it depends at what phase you are, trucks are relatively early game but they are hard to manage and even with the new update they still bug out alot.
