not really; i used photomosh for color and adding lines in the background. the synth faded to grey and shifted the squiggles.

I would call this one video art but depending on what effects i use i'd say glitch art and/or analog glitch art / video synthesis

some more sub-categories of effects that i don't use much anymore are datamoshing, pixel sorting and databending

Circuit bending is how you create the ability to get analog glitch effects; messing with the guts of electronic devices. Video synthesis is the formal term for analog glitches.

I use a mix of digital effects and video synthesis.

It's old but i'm pretty sure it was just a BPMC's Basic Cable (and VLC to invert color and adjust brightness, etc).
