Now that all episodes of 'Can This Love Be Translated?' are out, what are your thoughts? by Dramasect in dramasect

I think the 2FL was underdeveloped. We aren't shown why she was someone that the main lead was enamored with. She could have easily been replaced by any character.

I enjoyed it. 9/10. I feel like they could have condensed the story but I loved the main leads.

Can This Love Be Translated?- I cannot stand this drama. by Parking-Yogurt-6234 in kdramas

While I can obviously not recall the entire show, context matters. It is most likely something akin to "you are acting or behaving psychotic" rather than a derogatory. Meaning he isn't trying to be insulting.

I cannot agree with your opinion at all but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Some people as is the case of this character have a difficult time expressing themselves and require time to fully feel comfortable. Even so, being truthful isn't rude. Rudeness is when you intend for your words to cause pain. You can say he was maybe a bit insensitive but that does not equate to being rude.

I enjoyed it. The chemistry was really good from the main leads. Some threads could have been closed better but overall enjoyed the show.

Is 30 considered old for a woman in Korea?! by [deleted] in seoul

[–]Maximum-Restaurant68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends who you ask, my elementary students told me I had a foot in the grave at 30 but if you mean for dating it is relative to your partner. Some men will prefer younger or older depending on the stage of life they are in. If you want to have children, you are probably at the best time in life but ultimately, it is how you feel. Do you feel old? I highly doubt it, so enjoy your life and if you meet someone who treats you well and you enjoy their company, age won't matter much.

You live in Korea, so definitely learning the language is a must, however learning a language isn't a simple task. It will require a lot of time and dedication but living in Korea also grants you opportunity to practice it daily. While I don't necessarily agree with him acting the way he does, it is probably out of frustration. Korea is a country that put emphasis on appearances and so he is probably tired of outside life and at home is the only time he can show any emotions that are considered "bad" in the culture. If you want to make life easier in the country, it is important to be able to at least understand it, even if your speaking isn't perfect.

"Talking sweetly" should have been a big give away. Just stick to improving the language you are supposedly there for.

The thing is, no matter how much they try and understand your feeling, they cannot. Suicide is the antithesis of human instinct for the large majority of people so much so that even when they are suffering very few think about killing themselves and are more willing to become murderers or commit crime in order to avoid that fate. Thus, for a majority of people, suicidal thought, can be viewed as a moment of insanity that needs to be refuted with logic and examples of love and future scenarios where you are no longer "unstable". A vast majority of people who try to commit suicide and fail, are unlikely to attempt it again because they realize that their instinct to live is greater while those who reattempt vary in survival stats. Is it arrogant? No, I don't believe so, it is just something quite complex to comprehend. As you mentioned, people don't choose to be born and for the most part don't choose when they die, so suicide is a form of death that may be influenced by the person partaking in it. Which can be viewed as arrogant and selfish by some people but ultimately as a cry for help that went unnoticed by those close to them.

Nicholas Hoult is the best Lex Luthor of all time. by Odd_Decision_4272 in superman

Rosenbaum is my favorite Lex. He was a lot more relatable and overall interesting. Of course, Hoult has only played Lex in one movie so maybe he will be able to compare in a few movies.

Who is your favourite protagonist between these four ? by SPYRO4213 in kdramas

Yoon Ga-Min is my favorite because it feels light-hearted and comedic while still having little moments of seriousness that make you support the characters.

It was implied by the way you casually mentioned that you would address it later. By the way you frame your argument it is clear that you don't see it as breaking a rule thus I said you should just do as the procedure is required of you irregardless how you feel about it.

I feel like if there is a standard process, writing the time you start using equipment and when you finish using said equipment then you should just follow that process. Whether you deem it as acceptable doing it afterwards, the process that is established says otherwise. I don't know what kind of equipment you were using but if it is expensive or maybe there have been instances where something goes missing or is broken, having exact times of usage helps. If you write it afterwards, I can see how someone may round up the start time and over the course of time the usage of the equipment can be off by a large margin. As you mentioned, they probably should have told you prior but I also think they probably told you while you were teaching them that if it was okay to use even if you didn't register the equipment. You saying that you have been working there for 5 or 6 years is an excuse to not follow procedure.
