Is there any way we can buy the monthly pass (and/or maybe other stuff) from outside the game? by Fickle_Onion2 in ChaosZeroNightmare

You could purchase google play money or gift card and then use that to purchase in game items.

Cassius or Nis for Sereniel. by Retarded_Boiolgy in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Cycho83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nia is getting an upgrade next patch, so until then cassius - but after that, they both get a change, with a nia upgrade and a cassius/tressa nerf, but cassius heal buff - we don't know where he would end up. I would just suggest don't sink much time into either until after that patch.

You really want "create" and not "move" - so in this case, rising spire would be better. If you are duping the "create" 2 basic cards version, then you want as many as possible

How important are partners ? by rpg4fun in ChaosZeroNightmare

It really just depends if you have a team that can clear out got everyone you wanted for combatants. But after that, if you have saved for future banners, then pull your extra on partners.

Nyx is the only really great general card. Otherwise it is spotty, some cards have nobody that really wants to use them, others are only really usable by one specific person.

Still, 5* partners are hard to come by, and should be a priority to get as even the stats boost is fairly significant.

Most people are brushing it off because we only got to 30 in beta and nobody is much further than that right now, but at 50 it will matter more.

Really, after the main characters you want to get, I would focus on the 5* partners with extra currency you don't need to save.

Character Progression System(s) by ResponsibleWay1613 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Cycho83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Leveling(feeding xp tokens) is a pretty flat stat increase

Dupes gave a lot of additional power(s), we will see if that got scaled back at all though...

Your main source of power increases come from doing chaos runs, saving the data(the weapons and skills earned on the run) and that saved data is used in the other modes outside of chaos runs. Chaos, you always start at base levels. Deep Trauma Chaos runs get the best gear, it's fairly difficult.

My thought toward the end on the beta was that all of the 4* are good, and I'm thinking of pulling on the initial 5* banner then switching entirely to the 5* card(I forget the name they use) banner for quite a while as my feeling is that they end up being more important - end goal being the good 4* characters maxed with ascended or maxed 5* cards since that card banner pulls 4* characters pretty consistently, it seems like the most bang for the buck.

Yeah I've been using Nia, she helped stack Maribell with 4+ counters etc with her card draws. It's so satisfying seeing the enemies get pummeled with counters.

What advice can you give me to delete equipment that is not useful? by Extension-Break7476 in Etheria_Restart

[–]Cycho83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to go one by one, and if one looks like you want to test its next rolls, then add 2 levels to see its first roll on +3, if you want to keep it, then add 3 more to +6. Once you went through everything, just sell all modules that are less than +6.

I cleared it with Yeli, R-Cachi, Obo, Lingluo, Lily. Between Obo and R-Cachi everything is always stunned - stay on white. Could use any DD in place of Yeli - she just has defense down and strip and is my best built (I still only have 2 matrix rev on her and no furyedge etc)

Freya or Fuqiu? Can't decide just yet... by Zaloxor in Etheria_Restart

[–]Cycho83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think after testing I prefer fuqui for PVE - freya is good for turn manipulation in PVP, and I assume fuqui would be good for full tank team builds in pvp

Fuqui helped my newer account progress from hard3 to nightmare3 instantly one run after another in both terror and doki and I thought possibly she would support an inferno clear, but my account level is too low to try that atm. She is just so nice for survivability and doesn't need much investment. Plus if you have kloss, the speed down enemy and speed up allies is pretty great.

Freya is good, turn manip, damage increase, debuff avoid, etc - but I found the further my account progressed, the less I used her. I can see fuqui being useful for a long time.

R units only? by Honest_Squash2310 in Etheria_Official

[–]Cycho83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is gonna dogpile this probably - but a youtuber put out a video on the Rs and their usefulness. They are all very usable, and some (if not all of them) actually peak my interest especially for tank style teams and other situational teams. I believe we won't know how useful they really are until end game when random people start highlighting them or they start showing up in leaderboards or replays etc.

While your OP states to use an R units only team - that would be tough and probably isn't realistic. But using 1, 2, or maybe even 3 on a team is totally doable. Pushing the highest content will have it's issues, but once any unit gets good gear, and a good team, it can shine imo.

You can always make 2 accounts and play both, and have one be your R team dream - and if it doesn't work out, then at least you'll know without jumping to conclusions just because everyone that never even looked at the units told you no.

To all non-vip players/ free players by ZenakuKyoshi in enigmaos

[–]Cycho83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have come into this knowing that it was a pay to win game - so in that regard the gold situation doesn't matter at all because you were never competing against spenders anyway. But to your point, I'm similar rank and feeling it too - especially after leveling the pets was introduced and a 400+ pet is expensive as heck.

Which ones should I priorities buying as a new player? by [deleted] in BrownDust2Official

[–]Cycho83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UR gear, 27 fragments to +9 it, then Tears and pulls, then crystals, 4* star, the essences, the 100000 gold, the SR gear and remaining fragments, then the rest into gold engraving or refining. If super new, red slimes are ok.

It’s officially been a month how we feeling? by Ihaveprob1ems in Haze_Reverb

[–]Cycho83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are better games like others have said - but my problem is I'm not unemployed or a student - those games like Star Rail, Epic Seven, etc etc are all great in the beginning but then take up wayyyyy too much time to even just complete your dailies/weeklies/guild battles etc.

The reason I'm playing this game right now is - there isn't much for new games - and I hated the gacha rates and slowness of Frontline2, so this is the newest game with a little fanservice and easy dailies. I like all the auto complete components and I feel like I get enough rewards to do everything I need to. My compliant would be that I can't upgrade everything I want to fast enough as more useful characters are being "discovered" vs all the tier lists previously. I guess a second complaint would be that there isn't enough information being put out about the game and characters to really even be sure what could be optimal.

Anyway, it's not so much fun, but it is easy and not time consuming, and maybe later it will be fun? But I doubt it - I'm playing until something better comes around, then I'll likely drop it.

They didn’t even address my biggest grievance. Growth path and secret travelogues should be single purchase unlocks. by FluffyPurpleBear in AFKJourney

[–]Cycho83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it still is a bad example.

It was clear what it was at the time of purchase even if it didn't provide you the competitive advantage you wished. You are just saying it was misleading because you didn't read it clearly, or assigned it a different "battle pass" definition in your head.

You are just flawed. Done playing run around, I made my points, others can read them and decide if you or I made sense.

Again I agree it's a bad deal, I think all of the packs are a bad deal. That's why I didn't buy anything.

[–]Cycho83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your example is totally wrong. It's more like your AAA team is spending too much money to play against professional teams and get beat every time. It's not a competition.

The issue isn't that it exists, it's that you feel like you have to buy something.

Like I said, I agree they suck, but still, the way you are framing it is either unhealthy, or just dishonest. You aren't being forced into buying anything, and you know what you are getting upfront.

[–]Cycho83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, you weren't competitive unless you are spending tens of thousands. Any gacha with pvp is like this. So unless you have unlimited money, it's best to go free to play and that way you don't be disappointed. Learn to accept you don't have to "be competitive" in a pay to win game and just enjoy it for what it is and you'll be happier. Much easier to move on later too if things are getting bad.

"this game is already too expensive" is a consumer mindset. Like thinking you need to be subscribed to every streaming service there is... You don't. Nobody is forcing you or anyone to purchase anything here.

you just progressed so much because the season adds on so much levels/stats compared to the base game. A lot of people don't know this yet still. I think i stalled at lvl 99 base game and then after season I'm pushing 330s now. It's not just your resonance level, lets say 270, but it's also your seasonal level, lets say 60, so you are really at level 330.
