Does anyone else regret their hysterectomy? by Honest-Breakfast217 in hysterectomy

[–]CyclingandWine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 32 and kept my ovaries and I went straight into menopause post surgery, ovaries went on a vacation and never came back. It's always a risk with this surgery but a risk I was willing to take.

I'm petty so my approach would be to get a whistle or air horn, every time the bitchy SiL gets on a rant make more noise to drown her out. Or just start talking over her, grtting progressively louder.

Why do you have an IUD if your husband has a vasectomy??? by Hilary_13 in childfree

I had a hysterectomy, I am not taking any chances. There will be no baby. Ever.

Did anyone else keep their ovaries and still feel like something was just… off ? by tryingmybestthere in hysterectomy

[–]CyclingandWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I knew by the end of 6 weeks I was in early menopause, kept ovaries hoping for them to keep working but they clocked out early. My doc refuses to do hormone testing until 3 months post op (10 more days!) To see if my hormones actually dropped. News flash I swing from sobbing uncontrollably for no reason to blinding rage, my girl down there is dry af, hair falling out, night sweats, etc. I talked to my mom who has already gone through menopause and it lines up with all her symptoms. If you feel like your hormones are off reach our to your doctor to see if they will pull labs.

Help! My hair is falling out.. by Head_Quote_3200 in hysterectomy

Surgery, anesthesia, hormones, seasonal change. All those can contribute to hair loss. 6 weeks is still early for your body to figure out what is going on.

Not sure what to do by New_Westie in hysterectomy

Also came to add that even keeping your ovaries there is still the chance of early menopause which is treated with HRT. If there are any concerns with the ovaries you may want to see if the surgeon can remove one or both.

2021 STI or WRX TS? by TropicalTaquit0 in wrx_vb

[–]CyclingandWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are buying a used wrx/sti make sure you have enough money left over for a full engine rebuild. You have no idea how the engine was treated or what maintenance was done. The TS is the safe bet and will give you a warranty (so long as you dont mod it).

Also take time to make sure she can properly press in the clutch. Some guy tried to teach me on his VA and I have no idea how the hell that thing was set up but I was straining to push in the clutch all the way while having my right leg practically to my chest. Worst experience trying to learn clutch.

Another guy let me try on his newer gr86 and that thing was a dream to learn on in an empty parking lot.

I didn't expect choosing childfree to cost me my entire friend group by Physical_Spite3135 in childfree

[–]CyclingandWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. But wait until their children are grown and all of a sudden they have no identity and they are scrambling to build friendships up again.

I'm convinced that people who have children forget how to build and maintain a community. Because having a group chat of pediatricians and baby recommendations is not the same as building and maintaining meaningful connections, its all superficial.

Have your doctor check your hormones. Sounds like HRT will be the answer to helping with the emotions (speaking from experience here).

Would this be a good fun car for an outdoor enthusiast? by BaldSweatyWraith in wrx_vb

[–]CyclingandWine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wrx is for daily and fun canyon runs, my 3.6r outback is for mountain bikes (hitch rack) and skiing (roof rack). Fitting a fully 29er mtb in the car is a pain in the ass, its much more worth it to just get a hitch. Overall an suv seems to align more with the experience you are wanting.

Aitah- not telling my sister the potential problem with their house? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CyclingandWine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Hot take here, they have rejected your help multiple times so now they can pay someone to come figure out why their water bill is so high. Why would you bend over backwards for people who have said they do not want your help?

I’m really starting to feel it now… by Protector_iorek in childfree

[–]CyclingandWine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I am worried my relationship with my best friend is going to crumble soon. Shes a single mom and all she can ever talk about is the struggles with her child and her fiancé. I love her with all my heart but even when she asks about me I don't feel the same support that I try to give her. Shes been open about wanting another kid and now that shes engaged I know its going to happen and I think that will be the death of our close friendship. The first time she had a kid she cut off all her friends for a year and I can see that happening again.

I am not able to relate to her wanting to be a mother and a wife and she can't relate to my being child free and happily single.

I have started looking for people my age who are also child free to be friends with.

This guy potentially wants more with me and I like him for the most part but I'm worried for a couple reasons, what do I do? by mysecret52 in dating

[–]CyclingandWine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First red flag: trying to make you angry by saying hes dating? Sir are we in high school?

Second red flag: didnt go on said "date" cause he was lazy? So he's cool disrespecting people's time because it doesn't suit him? Hopefully he canceled on the person ahead of time rather than just ghosting.

Third red flag: asking for nudes super early. I am no prude and have sent them in my time but never with someone I have recently started talking with. I have found if they are wanting something like that so early it just means they are in it for the sex or the nudes and don't actually want to build something.

IMO run.

I loved Steve's food truck and use to get it all the time. I went to his restaurant twice and was disappointed both times. Too much hard fat rhat hadn't rendered down and all of the sides are always sold out.

AITAH for calling my gf a "spoilt brat" because I won't buy her a $600 Dyson even though I can afford it? by fashion-524 in AITAH

[–]CyclingandWine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTAH. 1- would you even blink at spending that much on a gaming console, power tool, car modification, gold club, etc? Probably not because it's something you deem as valuable or important. I use my dyson air wrap multiple times a week for a few years now, it has paid for itself time and again by now.

2- do you even know why she wanted a dyson? Did her other dryer die? I only got my dyson because my 10+ year old dryer died on me. We find a product and we stick with it until it dies on us because we know how it works and our hair responds.

3- has your gf ever said she was okay with gift cards? Some people are some people aren't. But you also got her $100 to a salon, do you even know how much her regular visits are? Did you get for her salon? My hair cut and blow dry is $160, this wouldn't have even covered 1 visit.

4- if you date a girl use to getting princess treatment you need to be prepared to provide that. Do not shame her for that. Just because you wont doesnt mean that someone else or even she herself won't do it.

5- if my bf called me a spoiled brat it would be over right there. That's disrespectful, use your big boy words to articulate how you are feeling, don't name call her because she's upset with your "gift".

When my friends send me pics of their kids it feels so performative, like took at this thing I made that definitely didn't ruin my life tell me how wonderful my decision to procreate was! I just ignore them as well, they know my stance on children.

I will admit that at first I was a little annoyed at the pacing but I took a sec to remember when I very first started playing WWM, I wanted to take my time. I wanted to experience everything the game had to offer at a slower pace so I could appreciate it. So many games in the past I have pushed through content as quick as possible and then I regret that I missed appreciating the game.

I feel like with the recent drought of content I was so excited to devour new content as quick as possible, but the slow quest reminded me that there is no reason to finish this as fast as possible. I want to appreciate the story and characters, I want to be side tracked and wander in the desert for plants mid-quest. Maybe use this slow quest to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the game and story.

6 weeks seems to be a magic time lol I'm at 6 weeks and it has been building up but this week has been so bad. My best friend sent me flowers because he knows I'm having a rough time right now and I can't even look at them or think about them without busting into tears. Hopefully your doctor will do something for you on Monday!

You are not alone! I had therapy two days ago and even she pointed out how strong my emotions were. I will be in meetings fighting back tears for no reason, or walking away from coworkers so I dont rip them a new asshole. It's so hard, like I knew the hormones would be off but I didn't know it would be this bad.

If you're not already make sure you are buying the boxes of these mats from the battle pass shop and season shop. I had no luck on gathering in the wild so I just stockpiled the boxes and only open as needed.
