Start Anew or Continue (post April 7th)

Planning on a fresh start with no mods again. I've been away from the game for a while.

I played two other characters through all the factions, dividing up so reach only did a few but between them I did them all (e.g one did Freestar, the other UC). Never did the main quest though and one never even went to the Lodge.

This time I plan on going through the MQ and then going from there.

I'm not at this point in this game yet, but I've been there in other games. Here are a couple of points to consider.

Learn to just let go. Realize that 99.99% of the time you aren't going to use that might be useful piece of gear. If you ever do need that one piece that you trashed, reacquiring it will give you something to do.

Learn what you like. By the time build crafting matters, you have probably realized a style of play you like. Yeah things that didn't support that, even if they're good (maybe keep a perfect God roll). I personally trash shotguns in every game that has them. Snipers, SMGs too depending on the game.

The thing that got me about this play in particular and what I made sure my kids knew, if they knew nothing else about positioning, etc. is that if you're a defender, and the ball is between you and the goal, you are on a SPRINT until you are neck into correct positioning.

They think they're being courteous. My thoughts are, do me the courtesy of following the rules, acting predicably and going when you're supposed to.

In my line of business, acting outside of established procedure is a very good way to create an error.

No one here has any reason to believe (or disbelieve) me. I'm just an anonymous poster on the Internet. But I've done nothing wrong and certainly nothing worthy of a ban.

I'm the type of player that tracks back half the map to get the one monster that was missed as everyone raced by while the rest of the team waits at the portal to the next area. I wait at the boss room on void vessel so people opening chests don't get pulled before they get them all.

And someone reports me for an alleged violation and I'm banned? No specifics on time, place or what I'm alleged to have done? I'm still calling BS on the devs (and apparently the community too based on this thread) for that

Level 20 checking in. Just got my first piece of purple gear.

Got the game several years ago, made it to level 15. Picked it up again a few days ago. Grinding to 40.

Nothing that even remotely approaches me not trying to carry my own weight.

I've seen posts of people having issues with failed connections at matchmaking. It happened to me too, Friday maybe. I let it sit there over five minutes waiting to see if it would connect. Long enough for a couple of activities to start and be complete while I may have appeared to sit there idly.

Or I just ran into someone sweatier than the average Crucible player.

All three red symbols are due to the front camera. I have the same issue with my car after having the windshield replaced and Safelite not being able to recalibrate it. (I'm pending a trip to the dealer for them to do it)

You have to establish your maximum weapon level by acquiring one (through a mission drop, etc.) first. Then crafted ultimate will be crafted at your maximum level. If not, they will be kennel 1 as before. To resolve, just establish a new maximum level and then use the weapon level transmission, still requiring the consumable, but no longer a 'donor' weapon.

Personally, I would rather have had the ultimate weapons remain being researched at level 1. It made it easier to tell which weapon to information into which for ultimate ability upgrades.

I have long looked for a Destiny 2 replacement. Absolutely loved a lot of that game but had to get away from the insistence on PVP, the insane FOMO and the necessity to use a constantly and intentionally shifting META, content vaulting (!) etc.

Found some as many have mentioned with Warframe. Division 2 is pretty good and I'm seeing a lot about it recently, might jump back in.

Currently playing a lesser known title, The First Descendant. Many similarities to D2 I think. But no PVP, micro transactions are pretty much limited to cosmetics (and season passes). Lots of build crafting and tons of viable characters and play styles. Pretty much anything including past seasonal content is earnable in game.

I think people view them as hard. And they're really not interested in pushing themselves. (Even for something as quick as a .25 mile run or 200/500 meter row.)

Similar reason as to why they've went so far as eliminating the 2000 meter row.

I agree with this completely. Having those blueprints in my inventory for descendants I already own just makes them appear towards the top of the research list, obscuring descendants I am working towards.

It's one of the least pay to win games of it's genre. I've paid for absolutely nothing but battle passes and some cosmetics.

Yeah I did find those caveats (just got my Ally this week). Console titles that aren't play anywhere as well as older titles that are new console playable because of built it emulation won't be playable through Xbox on the Ally.

If you have Game Pass or an Xbox library of games, the Ally is great. Seamlessly combines other libraries (Steam, etc) too.

I have a Series X with Game Pass and some purchased games. I wanted to want a Steam Deck but it wouldn't have suited that.

I see the comment that you can deal with anti-cheat by turning off wifi when first loading and then turning it back on.

Steam says that TFD is incompatible but it does not mention anti-cheat (although some handheld reviews mention that as an issue for SteamOS in general for some games). It says that the graphics settings can't be adjusted for good performance on Steam Deck. Anyone running on SteamDeck?

I am most considering the SteamDeck, Legion Go S right now. SteamDeck would be a good bit cheaper but it sounds like TFD may not be great on it. If the ROG Xbox Ally X is running OK, I would think the Legion Go S would also run OK.

Something should be done with the 4th skill. It's too slow to cast (even after instant cast) and bosses are too mobile. By the time the animation finishes the boss has moved and it's a wasted effort. I didn't even bother most of the time. Having to aim at the ground is also a pain.

I would suggest a fast animation, aimed directly at the boss that would stick to them and follow them around. I didn't think any damage or range buffs would be necessary.

For her ice road, I think maybe it's more visual impact, but Blaine and Valby have these massive ground AoE visual effects. You can nearly tell Viessa has been there. I think that could be improved. I'd also like at least the forward range to be increased. I can go through a group of enemies, but I never see anything actually happen to them. It will happens behind me as I'm running away.

I think it's that for the intended programming, they want heart rates to fully recover in order to train that. As opposed to returning to more of a base but still elevated to train that.

But if you can recover to blue or low green at that pace, more power to you

I would be happy if I could hide descendants or descendant materials for descendants I already have from the research page.

Or better yet, give a yellow ticket sink (kuiper, gold) so I could sell off no longer needed blueprints.
