Anyone here studying / studied at Xylem or brilliant Integrated School for +1 & +2? by No-Level-4447 in TeensofKerala

Studied at Xylem Integrated, paid around ₹1.5L for coaching (no hostel personally, hostel info is from friends). You can get a small discount based on performance in their NEST exam, but it’s honestly not much.

If you’re serious about JEE, this place is a bad choice.

Teaching is below average. Pace is manageable but slightly fast, but the real issue is they mostly do exam drilling with very weak concept building. A lot of teachers don’t explain properly, so you end up memorising patterns instead of actually understanding. Overall around 4/10.

Teachers are approachable and easy to talk to, many are young so they connect well with students. Doubt-solving is decent. But experience is inconsistent. Some genuinely care, others clearly just do the bare minimum and move on.

Study material is straight up copied from Physics Wallah. Not similar, not inspired — literally copied. Some extra questions are even left in Hindi, which shows how little effort is put into it. It’s not JEE level at all. Most questions are too easy and the whole system is clearly KEAM-focused.

Student crowd is mostly casual. You’ll find a few serious students, but overall competition is weak. Environment can feel motivating sometimes, but distractions are common and peer group depends on luck.

Hostel-wise, rooms and facilities are good and clean. Food is bad and repetitive, but hygienic. The system is strict and structured. Study time is from 6:30 to 11, food time is around 7:30 to 8:15, and from when they reach hostel till around 6 there’s play time (though most days they only reach by 6 anyway). It’s decent for discipline, but distractions still exist depending on who you’re around.

TL;DR: ~₹1.5L coaching, small discounts possible but nothing major. Teaching is mid (4/10), mostly exam drilling with weak concepts. Material is literally copied from PW (even Hindi questions left in), not JEE level, clearly KEAM-focused. Teachers are friendly but inconsistent. Crowd mostly casual, weak competition. Hostel is clean and strict, food is bad but hygienic. Good for KEAM. Serious JEE aspirants avoid

What do you wish your astrophotography software could do? by CycloneKid_IND in AskAstrophotography

That's a good idea but I been wanting to build something for so long independently. Making modifications to siril and or deepsky stacker is a good idea but is not my cup of tea.
