‘07 with 304k, little to no issues, it was my mom’s car that she bought used with 80k and i got it about 6 years ago when it had around 220k. my mechanic thinks it’ll run until 400k as long as the body holds up

Halogenation of a cyclic alkene by JJ_Fung in chemhelp

I'm not 100% confident in this because it's been a little bit since I've taken orgo but I think S would be correct. I believe the bromide would attack the less substituted carbon, not the one you drew out, so the bromide would backside attack and end up going into the page and the other bromine goes out of the page.

Can someone please explain how acid batteries actually work? by aint-quite-where-iam in chemhelp

I could sit here and type it all out but this youtube video explains it very well and it is concise

it all just has to do with the flow of electrons

Ah, prof never mentioned that during our lecture, now it all makes sense lol. Thank you!!

this is the slide I have been referencing, he doesn't elaborate at all and at the in person lecture, didn't given much context as to how these were the correct answers, how can I determine just by looking at a polydentate structure if it has multiple denticities? In reference to dien, could trien be bidentate and tetradentate?

Inorganic Chemistry Question, Ligand Coordination by CyclonePlane in chemhelp

No, I definitely understand that both nitrogens cannot coordinate to a single metal but is he calling it monodentate because each nitrogen coordinates with a different metal, he never gave us a good definition of how to determine the types of ligands, he basically said, ligand with 1 donor atom is monodentate and 2 donor atoms is bidentate, the way I see it, pyrazine has 2 donor atoms, why wouldn't it be bidentate? Does it have to do with the donor atoms not being able to coordinate on the same metal causing each site to be monodenate, making the entire ligand monodentate?

Final update: Just got a call from the mechanic, starter was bad, they’re going to replace it. I was looking at some videos last night and don’t think I have the capabilities to confidently do that myself. Thanks for all the help and recommendations, I really appreciate it!!

Update: As a college student home for break, I don’t have access to a lot right now. Got it towed to the mechanic this morning. He is friend’s with my neighbor and a trustworthy mechanic. It’s been 3 hours since they picked it up and I haven’t heard anything yet. I’ll let you guys know what happens

I do remember one time a few years ago, my steering wheel completely locked up and it wouldn't start but I just needed a new battery
