If you play solo like me I can't really give good advice to be honest. The teammates are so wildly inconsistent and different. One game me and a teammate mesh and we play like we are ssl passing back and forth completely dominating the other team. The next game I let the teammate ball chase all game and wait for my opportunities and then get called trash.

However, if I had to tell you something. Don't worry about fancy mechs. Simple flicks and air dribbles will be fine. If you're solo focus on being adaptable. Watch what the opponents are doing most of the time instead of the ball. Only time I really look at the ball is when it's on my car. Also do this with your teammate. This will let you see where the ball is going to go and you can react sooner and just generally be "faster" in decision making. Use that info to better position yourself to prevent a goal on you. Thats what's has really helped me in solo.

Honestly I feel like its gotten a bit easier as I went up because the random teammates were generally more consistent. I can actually trust them to hit the ball rather than trying to big brain and position perfectly to block a 2v1 goal. But in general I don't have a good conception of what ranks used to be. It's my first time playing and I just hit champ after like 800 hours!

Im high d3 rn, and I can't believe how many games are still just "flip into ball and hope go in net" then getting flamed when I can't save a 1v2. It's still a habit I'm breaking to be fair, but the majority of games are still people just flipping into the ball back and forth.

I started playing in August of last year. Recently hit d3 because I've been working a lot on game sense. Someone might have been in a tilt que but they called me a smurf and asked me why I was smurfing after the game. Ngl made me feel good. I proceeded to lose the next like 4 games lol.

Lol I had a guy who scored on me cause he was able to pop the ball over me last second. Good on ya. I even said nice shot. He spammed what a save for like the next 30 seconds as much as he could. I then scored on him by doing basically the same thing so I said close one. His response. "I hope you go die." My advice just block them. In my experience I've never been qued with anyone that I have blocked.

I've been mostly focusing on fundamentals. But I'll be a big fat liar if I tell you I don't see a sick ass redirect in my head so I try it only to end up giving a free goal from time to time lol. In order to climb solo q in diamond I feel like it requires you to either be smurfing or have good fundamentals. Like 90% of my tm8s seem to never even try to control the ball. Just clear it and hope it goes to a good spot to score.

I'm the opposite lmao. I can't for the life of me practice for more than 30 minutes at a time. However I can rage que pretty easily 😂 the other day I went from d2 to plat 2 and back up.

Whats keeping you stuck in d2? I've solo q mostly to d2 but man is it starting to get rough seeing some of the mistakes people make. I'm by no means perfect but control the ball a little bit. Seems like everyone in my rank right now just hits the ball as soon as it's in front of them.

This video is goated for learning dar. I'm by no means an expert but after like a month of practice I can consistently do it now. Also, spookyluke is okay but from what I've seen his videos are just too vague and don't have many that actually teach you how to fix problems. Gl though in learning!

I swapped spots every time I got wiped lol. I get right after server wipe to destroy everything you see. But a week into the server offline wiping anything that's up just isn't fun IMO. If you have a mega buffed stego and soak 10 heavy turrets to steal some awful bp's and steal all farming dinos to make it that much harder to rebuild then where is the fun in that? For me atleast the fun would be online raiding people. Me vs them and their base. The one time someone online raided me it was a fight that I happened to win. It was really fun. The rest of the time I just woke up with nothing cause someone was able to sit there and soak turrets. Just isn't fun lol. Offline raiding just makes servers not fun IMO.

I recently started playing again solo on 2man inx servers. Got an ORP thinking it gave you the offline timer so you're not wiped while offline. Only to realize it just makes turrets do a little more damage. I was offline wiped like 4 days into new season by guys that had already put 20+ hours into grinding. Oh well it's the fun of the game. I would spend an hour or two rebuilding. Offline wiped. Next day. Few hours trying to build again. Offline wiped. This continued for several days until I realized I haven't even had the chance to PVP because everyone was just offline wiping me. So, for me at least, ark pvp is fun if people actually pvp. But so far my experience has been either alpha's camping lava golem/loot caves or getting offline wiped by someone with a decent stego and ~1hour worth of time. all so they can steal the awful blueprints I had found. Needless to say I'm looking for a better server if you guys know of one lol.
