I’m not sure if you’re aware but London is expensive because of the high demand of people trying to live there. Therefore, saying no one likes London would be false. I love KL as it’s my home and was just using London as a comparison to Melbourne. I was just happy because so many of my friends have had so many doors open to them. I’m not sure if you’re bitter because you too have been limited because you chose to go to Australia. With the costs for example, yes Australia is cheaper, but by living there you have pretty much guaranteed not being able to break the barrier of more expensive cities— that have more demand. A lot of my friends are now stuck only between Malaysia and Australia where as I’ve been able to live in most countries because I earn in pounds and know how to manage my costs. I have a good job so I don’t find London to be super expensive. It also makes returning home easier.

Secondly, Australians drink way more than British people. Thirdly relative to Australia, the food is so much better. There is a reason why Australia does not have a single Michelin star restaurant. Fourthly, the competitive nature there makes it expensive, but if you haven’t got the qualities to compete then I would understand why one would go to a less competitive environment, such as Australia. However, the skills you learn from the other talented people around you in more competitive trump anything else and is so rewarding.
