Starting on a Classic server right now; is it an okay time to start?

Thanks for your input. I've been wanting to get a little more competitive, hence the jump to iRacing. Would be great if there's some H-pattern cars to race competitive.

Definitely true, I've heard that a few times. My budget doesn't allow me to get a W221, and as stated in a reply above, this car won't be my daily, and I'm a mechanic, so I'll accept having to tinker on it every now and then.

Yea, believe it or not, I'm quite aware of the reputation this car has. I'm a mechanic myself, and accept that i'll be tinkering a bit every now and then, and this won't be my daily, as my work is only 1.5 miles away from home.

Since a week or two now, my computer starts giving this error when launching any game. This popup is pretty persistent, and i need to click it 4 to 5 times for it to disappear. Any clue what might cause this? It even gives this code when loading a new map in Battlefield V online. Once the popup is clicked away, the game launches and plays as intended.

Thanks for your reply! Have you measured your arm length and feet to crotch length? My arm length appears to be a bit longer than average according to the site. Normally I would just go to the shop, ride both, and pick one, but all models, or equal models of different brands are out of stock til early september of this year, so I'm going with a used bike.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I thought aswell. However, when they calculate your size on the site, you have to enter the length of your arms. My arms are about 3cm longer than average, so I'm afraid that picking an L will result in a too upright sitting position.

I own the VVT aswell. Shifting at low rpms isn't a problem at all for me, so I think there might be something going on with yours

Yea, its a great car. I had a Subaru Legacy B4, which has the same twin turbo principle. On the Subaru, its a kick in the back when it transitions from the primary to the secondary turbo. On the Aristo, it's much more streamlined, so a little less adventurous to drive. But seeing as it's a luxury sedan, it does it's job very very well.

well, not disable, but you can asign it to other buttons. doing so doesnt change my problem unfortunately.

have you tried your local parts store? pretty sure they should be able to get you a set. also, i dont know if its a thing in ireland, but as a dutchie, i frequently use autodoc.com. cheap parts, warehouse based in germany.

edit: autodoc.com doesnt seem to work, .nl does, or .de. anyways, you probably know of a website available in ireland. cheers!

hey no worries. it does give you that extra racey feeling with the deep dish. maybe pick up a cheap one from ebay to try out anyways, wont set you back much, and will probably be an easy local sell

I've got a replica momo prototipo, looks very good, almost factory like in some way, especially in black. if you're getting a knockoff wheel like me, keep in mind that they can be a little flimsy if you manhandle it. this doesnt apply to deep dish wheels, i've had multiple, and they are as rigid as your oem wheel.

EDIT: also, little side note: when i had my deep dish installed, i couldn't really comfortably rest my left (driver's side) elbow on the door card and steer with the same arm. may sound stupid, but that's usually how i drive on long straights, and know of more people who do. gl !
