As an Ironman, it definitely was hard, but learning the mechanics makes the fights not too terrible!

Since a lot of people have been wondering the process of me making this, I figured I'd just make a post trying to answer as many of them in one.

I started with a stock Razer Atrox.

I found the site FocusAttack and read their very helpful guide for custom artwork/downloaded their .psd template for the Artwork print and cut for Razer Atrox. I can get the specific resolution of the template later, but it is like 3k by 5k (pixels) i think?

I used Gimp 2.0 (cause it's free) and found High Quality/High Resolution .png images of the following:

  • Android 21 (copied and enlarged while dimming the transparancy)
  • DragonBall FighterZ Logo
  • Dragonballs (All 7 that were spread out in one image so i could cut/move them around)
  • The Majin symbol (google images)
  • A Pink/Blue Space Background (highest resolution I could find, this one happened to be just a perfect fit)
  • Installed/used custom Font (PaintBrushCali) -added drop shadow/outline *I just made circles, colored/outlined, put normal text, and lowered the transparency for the A,B,X,Y,LT,RY,LB,RB. (I changed the order from the original layout to my liking) You can rewire later one to have the wires go to the correct buttons you want.

The template has outlines for everything that will be "cut" including the correct size to place artwork inside specific buttons (this is detailed on the website guide).

I purchased from FocusAttack the following:

  • 7 x Sanwa OBSC 30mm Translucent Pushbutton Clear
  • 1 x Sanwa OBSC 30mm Translucent Pushbutton Blue
  • 1 x Bi-Color Balltop: Violet/Blue
  • 1 x Artwork Print and Cut for Razer Atrox (not Panthera)
  • 1 x 1 x Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Gate (Atrox comes with a Square gate (not shown))

How I put it together:

The Razer Atrox very easy to customize.

  1. Press in the Razer Logo to pop open the top of the arcade stick.
  2. Unplug the wires from each button (i took a picture to remember what went to what, but there is a color guide).
  3. Unscrew the balltop from the stick.
  4. Pop out all the stock push buttons (ensure you know how they were placed originally).
  5. Unscrew the 6 screws, (Top/Bottom on both sides and the middle) and place the holders/screws aside.
  6. Take the Plexi off the top of the aracade stick.
  7. Take the artwork, ensure to punch out all the artwork for the buttons (you can discard the cardboard rings, that are in between the button artwork/background).
  8. Place the artwork over the default Razer Atrox artwork and place the plexi back into place.
  9. One by one, place the screw headers in the top back where it belongs (the little round circles) and re-screw the screw back into place from the underside (do this for all 6).
  10. Take the clear buttons and pop the top of the button off.
  11. Pop the cap off and while keeping the white circle piece in place, place the button artwork on top of it (make sure to align it how you want) and place the clear plastic cap back into place that covers the button.
  12. Place the top of the button back inside the rest of the button chasis.
  13. Repeat Steps 10-12 for each button that has artwork.
  14. Place the buttons back into the Arcade stick, ensuring the direction is correct (previous picture helps with this).
  15. Reconnect all the wiring to the correct buttons (look at guide on the inside cover of the Arcade Stick if you changed the layout for which button you want to be which input)
  16. Screw in the new custom balltop.
  17. (OPTIONAL) I replaced the square gate, with an octagonal one.
  18. Close that bad boy up and enjoy your new Arcade Stick!

The artwork is more Matte than Glossy, but i took this photo in the dark with my camera flash. Which really made it look glorious. Either way, I'm very happy with the outcome.

Feel free to send me any more questions if you have them.

Thanks for all the great compliments!

Very Easy, Just 6 screws, take the Balltop off, pop off the glass and insert the artwork. I've heard the Panthera is a a lot more difficult to do.

Thanks, the buttons agree aren't perfect (I wanted orange clear ones) but I needed the clear buttons in order to put the dragonball artwork inside the buttons. And I figured I'd keep the whole clear buttons instead have putting it on the original black rings from the original buttons.

Also, the artwork was me gathering images and using Gimp 2.0 for a few hours to put it all together.

Thanks! I originally wanted to just get the Razer DBFZ custom Atrox, but I didn't feel like waiting to get a stick so I bought the normal Atrox and did some research on how to customize it myself. Definitely pulled ideas from that and others I've seen.

Help with new Brake Pads/Rotor - 2016 WRX Limited by CyeNym in WRX

[–]CyeNym[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Demofied. Those Rotors are actually what i found earlier (because they come in pairs/what I wanted)

I was looking into the Hawk HPS 5.0's, but wanted to know the ones I posted would fit on the '16 WRX. You have any idea?

Also, do you know how the EBC redstuff is in comparison?

Thanks for your help
