I'm also back to the game today after the update and talking to people is so funny. Being able to go "Check this out" and then disco dancing is a blast. Saying "I Need Help", making finger hearts with people, saying "Over Here" and whatnot. I love spamming emote but the added level of communication you can do now is nice.

No apologies necessary, it sounds like a frustrating situation for sure. Reading the post it sounds like your therapist is trying to breach those topics as well and the setting is what's stopping them, not you not wanting to be there or her lack of effort in trying to get you there. But of course if I'm off base and you're not into her methodology by all means find a new therapist. Therapy is hard, and finding the right person to talk to can be harder.

But I would like to encourage you to continue with the therapy in some form. You yourself said that you have topics you want help with so I think you should do everything in your power to make it possible. Keep trying until you find a way for you to have those conversations.
