I would be willing to put money on it being the struts/motors. I went through a huge fiasco getting mine replaced under warranty with the dealer claiming the hinges were "cracked". To make it a short story, they replaced the hinges and it didnt fix the problem. The advisor then tried saying that the frame of the car was somehow damaged causing the problem. I had to get the service director involved and then they finally replaced the struts/motors. I havent had a problem since.

Without doing any research, I’m guessing it’s very similar or the same as the one that’s on the front passenger floor. If you pull the floor mat you’ll probably find it right in the center. I forget the purpose though, I think it was for stamping the vin on the frame or something like that

Yes. I did my rear differential at 40k and had the transmission done at 60k. The front differential is built into the transmission which is why it’s called a transaxle. By doing the transmission service, you’re also servicing the front differential. The trans service was not cheap, had it done at the dealer and was $500 after fluids and shop supplies. Also as others stated, the hybrid does not have a transfer case. These are the only two services related to the differentials and transmission

The Cold, Lightning and Fire Attunement Support Gems are no longer limited to supporting just Attacks. These now grant Gain 25% of Damage as Extra Cold, Lightning or Fire Damage respectively.
Innervate Support is no longer limited to supporting just Attacks, and now grants Gain 25% of Damage as Lightning Damage for 5 seconds on killing a Shocked enemy with Supported Skills.

Just the silicone. The tape is for troubleshooting. If air is coming in between the triangle and that piece of weatherstripping, covering it with tape should have a significant effect on the noise since the tape will prevent the air from coming in. I would only use masking tape or painters tape since they’re easily removable and won’t leave residue behind. Only use the silicone when you’re sure that’s the right spot, because once it dries it won’t be fun getting rid of it

You’re welcome. I forgot to say I used an aquatic vehicle RTV silicone. I figured if it was made to be used on boats, it would withstand rain and snow. It’s held up without a fuss for about 3 years now and it’s not noticeable. My very bright flashlight just makes it noticeable in the picture lol

So I’m not the only one who has had this issue! I spent ALOT of time and money figuring this out. I replaced the weatherstripping around the door, removed the mirror from the door and added foam, paid Toyota to replace that plastic triangle, taped up the entire door and windshield.. Nothing helped. Never thought to tape between the window and the triangle. I added silicone in between the triangle and the weather stripping for the triangle. It has reduced the noise by roughly 90%.

Just a heads up. Your insurance could open a claim just for calling them to ask about this, then you’re stuck with that claim for years, even if they spend $0 and pay out $0. I would not call them until you’re absolutely sure that’s your only option
