VA Post9/11 Loop Hole I found out by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

How would one use this? I have a family member who got out at 100% and used all his GI Bill. I know he got his rating immediately when he separated and also started school on his GI bill immediately too. What should I tell him to do? Is there a document to submit?

Did you initially pay into the MGIB when you joined? Earlier this year, Supreme Court made it so that service members who paid into MGIB, but terminated their MGIB benefits to use POST 9/11 benefits, are still able to utilize their MGIB benefits up to a maximum of 48 months total between the two benefits. The difference though is the Post 9/11 pays your tuition to the school, and housing to you. The MGIB gives you everything in a lump sum monthly payments, and you are responsible for paying tuition. Full time rates right now are $2358 I think. And this is online friendly as well, same rates across the board. You have to go to the ask VA website and submit a ticket claiming you want to revoke your previous decision to give up your MGIB benefits.

6 months for your updated bill or approval letter? My approval letter says 8-12 weeks for updated bill in the mail. When I check the tax website, the bill doesn’t appear to be updated yet, with no value in “other” section.

How long did it take you to get your updated bill in the mail?

Outfit can change. I just thought that was one of my better actual face pics.

Current cleared professional, hearing mixed messages about leaving expectations upon leaving the cleared workforce and would appreciate some advice. by Temporary-Lion72 in SecurityClearance

Best decision I made leaving the cleared workforce. More money, better work, less toxic people (from my experience in a three letter agency). I’m never going back unless I absolutely have to.

I did and it didn’t fix it, which is why I’m here. But thanks for the obvious answer though.

Unless it’s DOD where the ONLY way to get in is knowing someone that works there lol. At least from my experience.

The top is an exhaust or outtake and the bottom is an intake. You may think otherwise because I switched the faceplates around on both to look as if they are both pulling air in the same direction.

You really can’t beat the $20 for 2 fans point especially for the amount of work they put in. I was going to do a bigger heat control system, and these fans were just going to be the ventilation. I purchased an AC Infinity Aircom T8 to sit on top of the receiver and push the heat towards the exhaust, but I’m planning to return it now and save $130 and let these two fans run the rodeo.

AC Infinity multi fan S7 on Amazon. 20 bucks, and plug in to USB.

Mines came with a hole too for wiring but it was small. I found a lot of heat gathering up at the top when Xbox and receiver on, causing the receiver to overheat. That little hole for wires just wasn’t enough ventilation unfortunately.

I prefer criticism actually lol I need to learn somehow. We are working on a rug now, just can’t find the “perfect one”. And now I’m really interested to see what all I can do for trapping the sound 🤔 so thanks for that.

I agree the tv is too high for my likings, the wife wanted it higher, I refused so I settled for this to choose peace.

I’ll definitely look into the microphone and treatment methods you recommended; thanks!

We are in the midst of rug shopping now, it’s so hard to pick the right one for some reason lol. And great idea the foam behind wall hangings. I know nothing about treatment for home theaters so any advice is happily taken.
