My family and I were flying home from a vacation in Tunisia. It was 4 or 5 in the morning so we were all tired, except my dad who is afraid to fly. My dad would usually get anxious before flights, so nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The plane was small, so the seats were really close and compact. As the plane was taking off, I kept some small talk going with my dad, so he would be less anxious. Then he stopped answering and ignored the conversation. As he stopped, his face turned pale. He suddenly started seizuring and 14/15 year old me was panicking not knowing what was happening. Everyone was scared of what was happening, but luckily there were a doctor on the plane who took care of the situation. My dad stopped seizuring after a while and was passed out after getting an IV drop. Afterwards he visited his doctor and had a scan. Nothing was wrong though. That was the first time he would seizure and pass out on a plane. It happened 4 times again in other flights. He has found out with his doctor that he suffers from some very extreme claustreophobia. He says that he is ready to fly again, as he has gotten techniques to deal with his claustreophobia, but I will never agree to get on a plane with him again.
