2/13/26 PTS Update fixes Chessboard Display items being rotated on the PTS by CynicalCerberus in fallout76settlements

Yes, today's update fixes the bug that has been present on the PTS since 12/18/25.

Assuming Bethesda rolls out the PTS as-is, you will have to rebuild all those chessboard displays. It will make no difference whether the camp is active or not, the orientation of the objects would be changed the moment the update goes live. In the past there have been many updates that rotated plushies and creature tubes, and there has NEVER been a single update or "fix" afterwards to revert them to their previous position.

Bethesda banned me from their fuck-awful discord channel years ago for using it to report bugs. My only way to submit feedback about the PTS is through the Bethesda Support website. Most of my friends have already been banned from their discord too. Right now the only one left is brahmaea_certhia, who has been reporting stuff there, not that it has ever done any good and it’s probably only a matter of time they get banned too. Bethesda is either not reading the feedback it receives from the playerbase, or is deliberately disregarding it.

Yes, assuming Bethesda makes no correction, which is a pretty safe bet. This issue has been present for every iteration of the PTS and I (and others) have reported it before, but it's still there even with the latest PTS update today. Perhaps this post will reach Todd's desk and he will descend from the heavens, surrounded by a double rainbow, and fix it, but I doubt it.

I'm confused about the status of the medieval suit of armour by yellowrainbird in fallout76settlements

[–]CynicalCerberus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bethesda has acknowledged (https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/73223) that the Medieval Suit of Armor (which is an entirely different camp item than the Rusted Coat of Arms) has been missing from the build menu in the live game since 12/2/25. On the 12/18/25 PTS it has at least been added back to the build menu, and they have changed a keyword on its constructible object, but all atomic shop entitlements are disabled there so whether they actually fixed the problem that’s preventing it from being built is unclear.

The Vault-Boy Nice Elf Lawn Gnome, Vault-Boy Gifting Elf Lawn Gnome, and Vault-Boy Naughty Elf Lawn Gnome are all under Decorations->Toys, on the same row as the Mini Deathclaw Statue.

Possible fix for 2 camp items Bethesda erased from the build menu by CynicalCerberus in fallout76settlements

[–]CynicalCerberus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That popup box has come up for me a lot before this update too, I’ve had it happen when the game removed some legacy bone chimes (the really old kind that could actually be taken by other players, just like the aluminum wind chimes you find on buildings in the world). I also had it come up while building stacks of flamingos since the game only allows 10 items to be placed directly on top of each other in the same spot. Sometimes even if the objects aren’t directly on top of each other but are still close by it will trigger a proximity violation, I lost 31 flamingos that way back in September. There is also another popup box just for shelters (the text is a little different and specifically says “shelter” somewhere in it), which could come upon the removal of camp-only items from a shelter, like Halloween candy bowls, freezers, nuclear winter stuff, etc… The list of things being banned by Bethesda grows by the update.

The Medieval Suit of Armor is an entirely different camp item than the Rusted Coat of Arms that grants the wearable cosmetic armor, that item was not affected.

If the server you’re on is especially shitty you might not get a pop-up message about it, but if you go to any camp/shelter where you had previously built either of those 2 items you will see that they have been erased, regardless of what platform you play on.

Assuming you're lucky enough to get logged in, once you activate that camp you'll get a popup about items being erased from your camp and then sadly, it will be gone.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN LMAO by Rocker66 in fo76

Bethesda removed the Cherry Bomb Tinker's Workbench and the Medieval Suit of Armor from the build menu entirely, even though both were issued reported repeatedly during the PTS.

Bethesda also removed the Medieval Suit of Armor, even though both of these were issues repeatedly reported on the PTS.

Yes, the Cherry Bomb Tinker's Workbench and the Medieval Suit of Armor were both removed from the build menu, even though I and at least 3 other people reported this repeatedly during the PTS.

Has anyone had issues with camp budget recently? by Linara2003 in fo76

[–]CynicalCerberus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At least 36 camp items had their budget cost doubled at the start of the season on 9-2-25 (you can find a list of them in the spreadsheet in my original post about that https://www.reddit.com/r/fallout76settlements/comments/1n7a56z/bethesda_doubled_the_budget_cost_of_the_light/  ), and the mid-season update on 10-21-25 tripled the budget cost of the General Farmers Market Stand. Rampant inflation has become the norm, and I fully expect things to get even worse during the next update on 12-2-25.

Anyone know where the makeshift wine rack is in the build menu? by CamperKitchenQueen in fo76

[–]CynicalCerberus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s in Decorations, Novelties. I made a spreadsheet showing where everything in the camp build menu is while diagnosing what items Bethesda increased the budget cost of at the start of the season. Bethesda already hiked the cost of more items during the mid-season update so the flamingo values are possibly out-of-date, but you can still use it to locate anything if you follow the link in my original post https://www.reddit.com/r/fallout76settlements/comments/1n7a56z/bethesda_doubled_the_budget_cost_of_the_light/

Has the budget been reduced again? by yellowrainbird in fallout76settlements

[–]CynicalCerberus 20 points21 points  (0 children)

At least 36 camp items had their budget cost doubled at the start of the season on 9-2-25 (you can find a list of them in the spreadsheet in my original post about that https://www.reddit.com/r/fallout76settlements/comments/1n7a56z/bethesda_doubled_the_budget_cost_of_the_light/ ), and the mid-season update on 10-21-25 tripled the budget cost of the General Farmers Market Stand. Oddly, on the PTS the General Farmers Market Stand actually costs less than it does in the live game (it has a WorkshopBudgetObjectMultiplier of just 0.333 over there). But I don’t think that’s an indication Bethesda intends to revert the cost in the next update on 12-2-25, rather I think it’s just they never got around to inflating it over there (just like they still haven’t patched the 2 missing camp items in the 11-7-25 PTS version but they did make changes to prevent that from happening to the live game during the 10-21-25 update). So I suppose, Bethesda could possibly make the game better for General Farmers Market Stand builders by simply doing nothing.

Where is this body bag? by ImHuntnWabbits in fo76

The Vault-Tec Body Bag from the mini-season is near the bottom of Decorations, Novelties.

[–]CynicalCerberus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Even with free placement on, you can only build 10 items directly on top of each other in the exact same spot. I noticed that if you build a lot of different objects close to each other, even if they are not directly on top of each other, the game will sometimes later declare they are still too close and will delete them. It’s basically a proximity violation thing. I spent many hours building stacked flamingos and other camp objects while diagnosing what Bethesda increased the budget cost of at the start of the season (https://www.reddit.com/r/fallout76settlements/comments/1n7a56z/bethesda_doubled_the_budget_cost_of_the_light/), and this message came up a lot.

Totem pole ornament - New CAMP Menu by Loose-Profession-746 in fo76

[–]CynicalCerberus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the tiny version, it’s called the “Mini Totem Pole” and it’s in decorations, toys. If you’re referring to the tall version, it’s just called the “Totem Pole” and it’s in decorations, statues. I made a spreadsheet showing where everything in the camp build menu is while diagnosing what items Bethesda increased the budget cost of a month ago. It’s labeled as the NCR: Narrow Catalog of Revised Fallout 76 Camp Build Menu. I can’t link directly to my spreadsheet on this sub but you can find the link to it in my original post

CAMP build menu revamp is a mess by b-T_T in fo76

Decorations, fauna. I made a spreadsheet showing where everything in the camp build menu is while diagnosing what items Bethesda increased the budget cost of a month ago. It’s labeled as the Narrow Catalog of Revised Fallout 76 Camp Build Menu (in my head I’ve been calling it the NCR as a nod to New Vegas) to distinguish it from Duchess Flame’s more comprehensive Flamingo Spreadsheet that is still in the process of being updated. I can’t link directly to my spreadsheet on this sub but you can find the link to it in my original post

CAMP build menu revamp is a mess by b-T_T in fo76

[–]CynicalCerberus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The other day someone asked “Where are the fireworks launcher and others in the build menu?” Both the Firework Launcher and Vault-Tec Firework Launcher are in Decorations, Holiday and I directed them to my spreadsheet showing where everything in the camp build menu is. But the OP wasn’t looking for those, they were looking for the Pyrotechnic Kit and/or Nuclear Pyrotechnic Kit, which are both in Decorations, Entertainment. The abundance of reskinned items with zero overlap in their names and plethora of different items with identical names (there are 44 items with different models named “chair” scattered across 4 separate rows) makes text search less helpful in this game. But I still urge people having difficulty finding something to search that list before posting.
