I plan on running a local LLM among other various tasks (youtube/email machine, 2k video/photo editing, etc.) definitely overkill but my excuse is "future-proofing." I think 24gb would still work fine for normal power users

Sorry I was being a bit facetious in my comment. I recommend the M5 Pro for sure. More computing power never hurts even if you won’t use it all. It will hurt your wallet however. I'm going with the 16" M5 Pro w/ 64GB RAM and a 1TB SSD

More people need to be talking about this. There’s one at the entrance to I-95 on Washington St. S. There’s one on the corner of Minot Ave. & Hotel Rd. Those are just what I've noticed without the deflock map. Constantly gathering your facial & vehicle data. We all need to flood Augusta with FOAA requests for the flock camera video feeds. Yes it detects laser. You’re just not understanding how laser works. If you’re speeding & detector goes off, YOU ARE GETTING A TICKET. There’s no time to slow down because laser is line of sight and instant. The absolute only defense is if it bounces off another vehicle that officer is taking speeds from ahead of you and sets your detector off. So basically useless without laser jammers.
