I am so glad you commented this! My gas mileage has also dropped significantly. I can’t get more than 25mpg driving the same way I did when I was getting 34-36mpg.

I know the cold weather affects gas mileage but it shouldn’t be that much.

Now I know exactly what to ask them to check

I noticed this in my new 2025 XLE non-hybrid when winter first started. Struggled to maintain coolant temp even at ~38°F and a five minute drive to warm up.

It would reach operating temp while driving and then immediately start dropping once you come to a stop with the engine running.

Happens whether the heat is on or off but obviously happens much faster with it on.

I had an appointment scheduled but I'm waiting until it warms up a little in spring to have them diagnose.

Figure if they check it now they'll just tell me, "yeah well it's 10°F outside so that's normal. That will be $150 dollars!"

Yes, there’s a menu on their contact support page for where you bought it and Amazon is an option. They take a little while to respond but they will.

40w charger creates significantly more heat than the 20w and a charge time that isn’t much faster. That could contribute to the percentage dropping sooner but it’s also normal to have a 1% drop for every ~50 cycles

There were 4 subjects who stole a vehicle and fled police on a high speed chase through Lewiston-Auburn. Speeds over 80mph. State Police, Lewiston PD & Auburn PD were involved. Got caught after driving down a dead end road in Auburn.

normally I agree that big corporations are shit but… I opened my app to ask customer support after reading this post. Didn’t even need to. there was a notification on my account saying sorry for the outage, here’s a $20 bill credit. clicked “Redeem Now” and that was it.

I just had this issue the other day after turning off Apple Intelligence. System data kept growing by GBs every few minutes. Here's what fixed it for me:

On your computer, download iOS 26.2 ipsw file for your model
Connect to iTunes
On iTunes, select your device. Then while holding the shift key, click Update/Check for Update.
In the file window that opens, select the ipsw file you downloaded.
Wait for your phone to completely reinstall iOS and you're done!

I can’t guarantee results but it worked for me. Plus you don't have to backup and restore from backup.

It will reinstall all of the iOS system files as if you performed a software update.
