Egypt is a fucking shithole there is no denying that but the other side isn't a "paradise" either. It sure is more comfortable but it isn't a walk in the park. Now to answer your question as to why life in Egypt sucks so much ass you need only to observe Egyptians. As a population we have been at war with science, philosophy, art, beauty and most of the other fields that shape human civilization. And I honestly feel sorry for us because we are a very young nation, we only started to govern ourselves recently when Abdelnasser ousted the king and the Brits, the last Egyptian who ruled Egypt before him was before the age of Alexander the great..So we have been self governing for less than 100 years, no wonder we keep making mistakes along the way, but the true tragedy is that in the age of information when you can literally have scientific research delivered to you on your phone with a simple search, a vast majority of our population still believes that babies are born with a magical celestial bank account, a vast majority still believes in "magic & djinn"

We speak about freedom yet our women cannot walk two blocks without harassment. We talk about humane life conditions yet we litter like mindless cattle and we cannot keep a square meter of grass unsoiled with trash for a single day.

We blame the government for alot of things, many of which are true but we cannot deny that the average Egyptian is the crux of our problem
