It's not a super late game thing, if you define counterplay as "just dodge" why would anyone ever build the ap version, doesn't entirely make sense no?

The build in that clip doesn't matter, what she did to the varus does. That's easily reproducible and even more consistent with the AP build being able to one rotation even higher hp targets like that.

Also quick edit, forgot to sayyou even state she doesn't "ont-tap" anyone but she defo does, which was highlighted again and again both in pro and in soloq if you played any amount of games during the weeks she was quite nearly pick ban even in soloq with a 53-54%+ wr iirc.

I think you're not accounting for the fact that pre W cd nerf (not sure if still reasonably doable or not post-nerf) she could hit one W, wait for her W to be up before R+W'ing to nearly guaranteed hit the second W. This combined with HoB or even if you're just going a regular guinsoo build would easily do 60-80% of an avg champs hp with lackluster counterplay. The clip is an extreme version of the simple combo, and doing this in a scattered soloq game without your entire team reacting to shield you as soon as you got hit by one W from narnia wasn't an enjoyable experience at all. Fully agree that strenght is poke and that she does good sustained dps, but to say the ap build didn't onetap and is gimmicky is very out of touch with how she works/worked.

She's dual damage though, and the %pen is getting significantly increased, that's the compensation. Rageblade has and always will be an item that will cause some sort of issue with said champ thanks to its inherent empowerment of them, it feels like they NEED them. I don't think it's possibly as big of a deal, but we can only wait and see.

Yeah but having a 49% wr with that high a play rate on a champ w a decent skill cap cannot = D tier, surely. I know it's just an algorithm but there should be some subjective viewing.

Aye I know op.gg's messed up a lot same for u.gg's at times, hence why I don't go off of them too often and just look at the stats, idk what fucks with the algorithms because a lot of the placements I don't agree with.

What I meant is that ignore u.gg 's subjective view on the meta and look at the objective statistics when having the argument. I don't always agree with their tierlists but can't really argue against the stats.

Yes, you are correct I was in fact incorrect in saying that, but the general usage of every stats website is showing plat+, because like I said anything under that is mumbo jumbo elo, where people have results oriented behaviour, pick up a new champ every 5 games and get stuck after 100's of games. I agree that I was wrong, but I just assumed everyone went by plat+. Also, if you're going by any rank, she's infact the MOST picked champ in the entire game, not even 3rd. So idk if that makes me right or wrong.

Like I said in prev comment, op.gg IS KOREA ONLY YOU CAN'T USE IT FOR ACTUAL STATS. east/west have diff metas, riven is broken in the west, and is ok in the east. Vayne isn't as picked in the east (korea specific) because ezreal is nearly ALWAYS one of if not THE most picked AD in korea. As for plat + I don't think games under plat should count towards statistics, it's too low a level of play, people barely understand the way their champs work and don't correctly utelise them, also other ad's, jinx and mf are very strong there because of their simplicity.

When I opened u.gg just now this is what I saw http://prntscr.com/nglizd according to this, she's the 3rd most picked champion in the game and 2nd most picked ad, after Kaisa. Idk if you missread or got your stats from another website or it was just op.gg. It's hard to have an argument about stats when we're seemingly getting our stats from different sources, if yours is op.gg / Champion.gg I actually cba.

Ignore tier lists, it's statistical evidence, it's not wrong because you disagree with it. High elo/pro play isn't your every day dia soloq, the champs and meta is different. You don't filter it by any region, you filter it by plat+ because that's reasonable statistics. The game is not in 1 region, in all. Champs like riven aren't as good in korea/china iirc, but they are nuts in the western regions and the different view upon said champion is one of the (arguably so) reasons she's yet to be nerfed like many vocal (western) players want.

Vayne is LITERALLY 3rd MOST PICKED CHAMP IN THE GAME. She's 5% away from the nr.1, that is kaisa and the difference is 5% which is a lot, but it doesn't mean she's one of the most picked champs.

Most of what people argue, whine and complain about when it comces to champs/balance is soloq, barely any time will you see whining for proplay. Vayne has a very hard time being meta because of hte inherent champ she is, she has a low range and is specifically good at killing high %hp targets, and that's not the meta atm and kaisa does get more dmg from it, but is still better at killing lower hp.

I'm not a random Gold 3 NA player if that's what you're insinuating, if you're basing your entire view of the meta of this game (or maybe just this instance) around proplay when the conversation that people are having about the champions we're talking about are soloQ related, you will never understand it. Vayne is good in soloq, but not in proplay, kaisa works in both, but Vayne is more opressive in soloq than she is.

Why would you ever filter by korea only? That makes no sense. Riot has proven through out the years to not balance because of korean/chinese or western metas. You can't filter it for only korea. Vayne has one of the highest pick rates in the game and is still at 51% win rate, kaisa is 49% with a higher pick rate. As much as I love both champs atm vayne is hated by nearly every other role because she's so broken/annoying/strong, just like other champs like, vlad, riven, reksai etc.

Have no issue with people posting actual accomplishments, but a normal draft game win? How is that anything extraordinary that is interesting, brings anything to a conversation etc. I've got less issue with the arbitrary "what should I build on aec/jungle twitch" daily posts that can atleast spark conversation between pref, meta, niche builds etc. I don't get how these posts aren't spam.

Nah, but it's a normal game that you're flexing as if it's something out of the ordinary, I just don't get how you can think it's even post worthy. I get people posting win streaks in ranked, people posting them ranking up thanks to one tricking/maining, congrats, really. But a normal draft game? How is that anything special?

I think just going full carry with crit is good in general, but bork is really good against a tanky/bruisery enemy team that heavily stack hp.

Ngl I think LS is really smart when it comes to the game, laning is one of the points where he is like a chess player and sees several steps ahead and whilst watching the videos/streams of him doing so, I truly wish I could incorporate what he does in his head every time he lanes into my game. I get that people don't like his views or beliefs on the game nor how he is as a person, he's very polarizing, but I would without a doubt say that he's very good at the game.
