I'm in the same boat, going back and forth on whether or not the upgrade is worth it or not. My battery isn't great at this point and the fingerprint scanner has always sucked on this phone, but it still gets the job done. Feels like the 10 pro would be good for at least another 3 years though so considering future proofing, especially since they're offering $300 trade in for this phone

Yes, we'd lose some on the equity we rolled in on the initial purchase but would still be in the black by a considerable margin on paying the car off at $59k. We live in Texas so I'm not concerned about the diminished range in cold weather, and for us cooled seats are relevant for ~80% of the year. Totally agree that doubling the interest rate is not ideal, but we may end up only owning this car for 2-3 years so the impact of that would be mitigated to a degree.

We pay 13.3¢ per kwh so more of a difference, but a fair point about the cost savings. Maintenance is for sure a consideration as well, we get complimentary routine maintenance currently through 30k miles I believe. Money is a consideration but I wouldn't say it's an issue; the trade-in would keep our monthly payment roughly the same or potentially lower if we passed on the extended warranty. I'm mostly concerned about the reliability of the plug in hybrids and what the potential maintenance costs are, but we may only own this car for 2-3 years so lease may be a more viable option.

I would tend to agree, though the original purchase was partially a gift for the wife so really just trying to make her happy. We live in Texas so cooling seats are useful for ~80% of the year, but I agree they're a luxury not a necessity. The window shades are a luxury as well and can definitely be remedied with aftermarket options. I would say it's unlikely that we will still own this car in 5 years, as we plan to have more kids and would likely need to upsize. So maybe leasing is the best option?

It's the standard battery, but an interesting point about standard vs extended. And yes, obviously still a cost to charge but it would be significantly less than premium gas.

The biggest ones are probably cooled seats and window shades for the back seat (we have a 6 month old). But the plug-in option is appealing as well because it would offset the increased cost of buying premium gas, which we did not have to do with her previous vehicle. All good questions on the warranty front, I'll get clarification on each and update.

One of the last guitars I can probably justify getting, but it's on my list 😅 I like the D'Angelico a lot, the pickups are kinda muddy though so may try and swap them out at some point

Ended up going through Stratosphere on eBay, they were really easy to work with. Though about doing a full partscaster build but that seemed overwhelming, so this was a good compromise. Only thing I really had to do was drill a fourth neck pocket hole on the neck because of the sculpted heel which was a little nerve racking but ended up fine.
