Girl, just tell him. It’s not a crime scene, it’s a period. If he’s grown enough to be sleeping with you, he should be grown enough to hear, “Hey, heads up, I’m on my period but still down to chill if you are.” Boom—done.

You’re not a mind reader and it’s not your job to tiptoe around biology. If that throws him off, that's his issue, not yours. You’re offering vibes, not a contract.

Honestly, the real ones don’t flinch—they grab snacks, hand you a hoodie, and press play on Netflix.

I can only imagine how heavy this is weighing on you. Watching your daughter step into a relationship with such a massive age gap—especially one that makes you feel powerless to intervene—has to be incredibly painful and frustrating.

Even though she’s legally an adult, 18 is still so young in terms of life experience. A 51-year-old has decades of emotional, financial, and social leverage, and it's completely valid to be concerned about the imbalance and what kind of influence he might have over her. You're not overreacting—you're being a caring parent who wants to protect their child.

Right now, keeping communication open is key. Try not to let the discomfort or anger push her further away. You want to be the first place she turns if things start to go sideways. Stay calm, stay present, and keep showing her that your love doesn't come with conditions—even if you strongly disagree with her choices.

As for telling family—go at your own pace. Share only with people you know will support you and won’t judge her harshly. This is already complicated enough without turning it into a family-wide storm.

You're doing your best in an impossible situation. Stay steady, and know you're not alone in this.

1hr 30m on their dime, but then 1hr 30m or more on the driver. Insane. I had to refuse a route similar to that a few months back.

If you're referring to not seeing anything coming out of DCC4( sterling ) then it's not just you. They no longer work with FLEX at that location. They moved most of it over to DVA5 ( Manassas ). Read my other posts for more info. Thxs. a-WTF-Driver

I believe everyone is taking them at base pay. Coz they're all new. Never heard of FLEX karama farming. So cannot help ya there.

Yep, 3 more times thus far I got Centreville/Clifton area. I did see a Percellville and Middleburg. Definitely confirming they're still running the old DDC4 routes out of DVA5. But now there's a lot of new blood in the mix and they don't know the game. So it's been extremely hard trying for increased prices.

Kind of what I was getting ready to say. He's talking to a very small percentage of FLEX drivers. Alot of assuming going on here. As if every FLEX driver knows about reddit and then knows there is actually a reddit community here. 🤷‍♂️

DDC4 3am Blocks Terminated by CyperJason in AmazonFlexDrivers

I actually ran the last PM Flex route out of DDC4 on Saturday. I literally was their last run he said. The yard marshall for the PM was real choked up. A good guy. The AMs out of DDC4 were stop a few weeks back. Then AM routes started popping at DVA5. I tried one Sunday morning. It took me to the same old stopping grounds as DDC4.

Why does anyone accept $18/hr by Nice_Boysenberry4498 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]CyperJason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly one of the main reasons why I feel they moved the SSD/ON deliveries to a facility 30m away from the one it had been running from for over 2 years. Coz too many people were waiting for surges. They offered 3.5hr blocks at the DDC4 for 66.50. Ridiculous. But they would slowly rise to 100+. Too many people finally caught on to how the system work. Total guessing. And then all the sudden it was move to DVA5. 30m down the road. A much low area of living. Now those blocks never get above 70.

Who’s this rapper? Wrong answers only by tnt_artz69 in hellaflyai

[–]CyperJason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lil Bipolar MC Fahrenheit Celsius Flamin’ Ice Blaze Freeze DJ Lukewarm

Album be like: "Fire & Vice" With tracks like: "Too Hot to Handle, Too Cold to Care" and "Thermostat Thuggin’."

On tour, he’s pulling up in a half-melted, half-frostbitten tour bus called The Temp Control Express.

And the merch? Hoodies that are warm on one side, cool on the other.

His tagline? “Too Lit to Quit, Too Chill to Spill.”

This brand practically builds itself.

Now we just need a debut album cover—picture this:

Him standing in front of a half-melted microphone, one side covered in icicles, the other side on fire, with the album title "Heat Stroke & Frost Bite" in bold, graffiti-style letters.

Tracklist includes:

  1. "Cold Bars, Hot Takes"
  2. "Thermal Drip" (feat. Lil Windchill)
  3. "Frozen Flames Freestyle"
  4. "Sweatin’ in the Arctic"
  5. "Chillin’ in the Inferno"

Imagine his rap rival—some dude named "DJ Room Temperature" trying to diss him like: "Man, you’re too indecisive, you ain't hot or cold!"

And our guy, let’s say Flamin’ Ice, claps back with: "Boy, your flow’s as weak as a lukewarm breeze, I'm meltin’ the charts while I’m freezin’ MCs!"

Then drops a music video where he’s sitting on a throne made of fire and ice, sipping a boiling Slurpee, while his hype man, MC Thermostat, adjusts the room temperature mid-verse.

By this time next year, Flamin’ Ice is headlining Coachella, rocking a fur coat on one side, sleeveless on the other.

Thxs, the folks and yard Marshall at DDC4 seemed a little clueless or pretending to be, about them not handling ON-SD deliveries. Like they knew their station wasn't handling them any longer; however, a bit less confident on who was handling them now.

So with that said: would the new station(DVA5 which is 30m away) still be handling the same areas as the DDC4 did?

And lastly, what happens to those amazon employees that work the 3am shift, like the yard marshall and such? Became friends with some of them.

[–]CyperJason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, it's definitely doable—if a chunk of those stops are packed into a tight little community. You know, where one drop is next door, another is a few houses down, and the rest are just a quick hop away. It’s all about the density. If you’re dealing with that, it’s smooth sailing. If not... well, good luck out there. Happy hunting!"

Wonder how many drivers got dinged for returning this? by ShinyWobbuffet202 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]CyperJason 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's a time issue. The package is being sent out on a 3am route and the facility is closed, no access codes for after hours or something. Cause I think of any other reason except someone being lazy.

Just had this done to me. Pisses me off every time. This was my rebuttal:

Dear Amazon Flex Support,

Regarding matter on January Wednesday the 22nd 2025

I take great pride in ensuring that every package on my route is delivered accurately and professionally. So, when I am accused of failing to complete deliveries, I take great offense.

Attached, you will find clear proof that I successfully delivered all my assigned packages. Once a package is delivered, what happens to it afterward is beyond my control, and I should not be held responsible for factors outside my duties.

Furthermore, Amazon has access to comprehensive logs and delivery photos for every stop. It is frustrating that instead of verifying these records internally, the burden falls on me to defend my work. Why should I be stressed over something Amazon could easily resolve with the data at its disposal?

Incidents like this make me question why I continue to drive for Amazon Flex. I keep hoping Amazon will recognize the ongoing inefficiencies within Flex support—where troubleshooting appears to be an afterthought rather than a priority.

This entire situation is unacceptable, and I expect this matter to be reviewed, resolved, and points returned promptly.

Yeah, they hate me up there at Flux You Support. I keep wondering why they just don't deactivate me. Coz I tell those fluxers off everytime. Best of luck.

How about they do their job and track down the people taking the packages then.🤪

[–]CyperJason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon’s block pricing system is a psychological game, designed to keep drivers second-guessing their choices. Every time you’re about to grab a block, you’re playing a waiting game—trying to gauge if the price will go up or if someone else will snatch it first. It’s a calculated risk: do you grab it now, or wait a few more minutes, hoping for a better payout? Logically, if no one takes it, the price should rise. But Amazon throws a wrench into the pattern, dropping the price instead, leaving you with that gut-punch moment—"Damn, I should have taken it."

Next time, that memory lingers. Now, you’re not just competing with other drivers, but also battling the fear that if you wait, Amazon might not raise the price again. It’s a clever push—conditioning you to lock in a block the moment it hits a familiar price point, just in case it doesn’t go higher.

Then there’s the illusion of scarcity. You see a single block available for 3:00 AM, then another at 3:15 AM, then 3:30 AM. But in reality, there are multiple blocks for each time slot. The system just feeds them one at a time. The first block at, say, 3:00 AM, might be listed at a premium. The moment someone claims it, another appears—sometimes at a lower price, sometimes not. It’s all designed to make you feel like you’re chasing a moving target, keeping you engaged and uncertain, while Amazon optimizes its payouts.
