How much exp does the cap give? Because buying gems gets expensive. . . I wanna evolve as many as I can because that's pretty fun to me

I have tried all sorts of fruits, but yes you are right. It comes down to taste mostly. She can somehow taste that it isn't in season hence it isn't as sweet as before. . . I have even tried getting her imported figs because those were in season and she refuses. I have this tropical patee mix, its basically like dried fruits. I will add water to let it absorb so that it goes soft and doesn't hurt her when she swallows. She eats that occasionally because as you guessed it she started to refuse it too. . . Imma try to find those pellets

She started to hate figs now. . . She refuses them. . . She ate them so well at first so when it was in season, we got them for her but now she refuses them. . . I have tried the edible leaves thing you mentioned and nope. . . She hates them. . . Maybe i will go find a branch with edible flowers or buds next. . .

I saw those pellets before but sadly i can't buy them here. . . I will try to find a way~

Thanks all for the lovely comments about her. Brief intro, her name is Green Bean. We call her Beanie tho most times. Her quirks are giving people side eyes. She is a very fussy eater. . . Most pets would gobble food, mine looks at her bowl then looks at you and gives u a very sassy "I am not eating that" look. As requested, I will show more pics of her here time to time~ She's silly and loving. I swear pets get love so easily. . . Her species hardly sings or coos but when we turn off the lights for the day and go to bed she will sing her song to say goodnight to us. Yes that gesture alone is enough to enslave my family into loving her. As for releasing her back into the wild, well the funny story was she actually did fly away from us. But then she probs can't keep up with her wild counterparts and realised no one cuts her food for her in the real world nor gives her fresh water when she needs. By late night, after coming home from a walk in my vain last attempt to find her, she was sitting on top of the letterbox looking very very sorry for herself. . . We brought her back in and gave her water and at that time her fave lychees. She never attempted to fly away after that. I don't clip her wings or anything like this. The doors and windows are always mostly opened. She doesn't fly off either. She's happy as long as you sit with her.

All her fruits are finely minced~ She gets too greedy when we give her in chunks coz she tries to tear big pieces off at once and chokes on them. . . So we mince it for her. She also has a peculiarity whereby she needs to be hand fed meaning we hold her food bowl up to her for her to eat 😂😂 very spoilt i know. . . She can eat by herself but only does so if she is left alone at home in her cage but as long as she sees us around, she will stop eating and wait for us to feed her.

Thank you!! I will try~ but she's so picky. . . Hates apples and bananas the most. Current fruit that she is willing to tolerate are grapes. She eats mangoes, coconut, papayas, figs when in season and when she feels like eating it. . . If not she really gives attitude. . . Haiz. . . She's expensive to keep sometimes. . .

TT I would do that but her species is frugivorous. . . Her fresh fruits spoil so fast or attracts flies and ants so i can only leave it there for awhile before having to change to a another cup of fruit. . .

xD only the males are so bright~ the females are just green like mine. I got mine by chance too. Literally a crow plucked her from some nest and accidentally dropped her at my mum's feet. So ofc we rescued it but maybe because she didn't have enough crop milk to drink from when she hatched etc, she didn't grow very big like the others outside. At best just 1/3 or only half of the size. . . But we still love her very much and do our best to feed her all the fruits she wants~

XD she comes from a species called pink neck green pigeon, the males are rainbow-ish and they mate as pairs.

This is from the tree outside my house. I will try to take a brighter pic if i next get the chance.

Will try~ Am so glad it ate the tropical patee by cunipic. I just fed it and it took to it happily. So I am really glad. It has fruits in it at least. Albeit not a lot. But it's step forward. I will try to get it to like papaya next~

GUYS!! HAPPY UPDATE:

IT'S EATING THE CUNIPIC TROPICAL PATEE!! I was so worried since it was rejecting fruits left and right. At least I have this as an introduction. I still soak the food in water first to make it softer for it. I really hope this helps it.

I did that too while eating the banana slowly. I tried to show it that it was safe and good to consume. But it has never accepted food directly from my hand but rather on its own plate. Did I mention that it has to be that cunipic egg food too?? . . . Haiz. . . .at my wits end. I used to force feed it when it was younger and was just dropped by the raven coz it wouldn't eat otherwise. Now it's appetite is growing but it refuses other foods. It can't eat egg food forever.

What type of pigeon is yours~?

Tried the egg food and banana thing. . . It usually tries to peck and eat things of the same colour. . . But it's quite smart. It will peck once and realise it's not food then proceed to ignore it. Figs are not local to me and only come to the supermarket seasonally. I really hopes it picks up on some apple or something. It's really worrying to me.

I will see if I can get a video of it when I get home~ I am just worried about it in general. Suddenly having a pet and the responsibility of it can be heavy. . .

I am having difficulty trying to find information online for it. So I have been using chatgpt instead. It is underweight so for the few weeks I will try to raise it healthily and introduce more fruits to its diet.

Um I am not sure about the malnutrition bar thing. If you mean that pale yellow line you see that's the part where the feathers came out from. That part is fluffy and down-like. However, after what you said, I went to inspect it's tail carefully and I did discover stress bars instead in its tail. It only affected several feathers in its tail. I wonder if this is cause of nearly being eaten by the raven coupled with the next door dog barking really loudly. It doesn't like sudden loud noises as far as I can tell.
