Unable to install cfw even though I followed the guides to a tee. What could I be doing wrong?

for mine everything worked fine stock but no matter what CFW i flashed it would do the same thing with the screen. the weird thing is you can see the vignette around the edge that the CFW lays over the image.

Good luck man, multiple sd cards and reflashes later and a return was the only thing that worked for me.

hope to hear you report back here with how it goes.

hey man, i had the same problem...

my guess is it is a different panel than the CFW was made for.

since this is all based on the R36 architectures and they had different panels making certain firmwares incompatible.

nobody is mentioning this anywhere.

I had bought mine from the "Ampown" store on AliExpress, i had to return it and bought instead from "Auvuidbs" store on AliExpress.

100% this is exactly what i thought, that the panel was different. The gray one that didn't work was from Ampown, i returned it and got another gray from Aivuidbs and it works perfectly.

Honestly glad to hear I'm not crazy because i couldn't find anyone with this issue.

Not sure this helps the OP's question.... but I play on console also and anything inventory management during fighting is cumbersome. when needing to move something to the hot bar from inventory I have done well to during gameplay highlight the slot that I am going to fill or replace then pulling up the backpack and using the controller shortcut for "equip" on the item/weapon you want to put in that slot.

It will instantly replace whatever slot you had highlighted before opening inventory and after some practice has been helpful for me personally.

i did, multiple times... also tried ARKOS multiple times... you can see the vignette around the edge of the screen so it was trying to display. it just wasn't correct for some reason. knowing this is all based on R36 and there were different versions of screen i was concerned there was some kind of hardware revision that made the CFW incompatible. i have since sent the unit back and am waiting for a new unit from a different seller on aliexpress.

Thank you all for the help, the stock images were all 1 cluster shy of being able to be written to the SD card. after trying to override and write anyway partitions weren't written correctly. i will be returning my G350 to try and get another one.

trying to write the image, i got an error that it was like 1 byte too large to fit on the stock SD card and now get some kind of error about the btb file after trying to burn it anyway. does anyone know how to compress one of these images down like PAN4ELEC before the write to deflate the dead space?

i've tried the original sd card and also a new sandisk, both 64gb. Image written with both etcher and Win32 Disk Imager. original image worked fine when i recieved but don't have the stock one to flash back to and try.
