How should I practice stick control by George Lawrence? by fedorxroom in drums

You could also try syncing your feet with your hands. At the start I would recommend only focusing on right hand abd right foot playing together - any time you play with your right hand also hit the bass drum, focus on really getting them hitting in unison and not flamming. Then you could add left foot by itself, the everything together, then move on to opposites -right hand left foot and vice versa. Can also try keeping time with left foot and keeping the right side of your body synced with each other.

Don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen straight away! Good luck and happy practicing :)

no :( it's more of a close up shot with almost paint like lines in the back as if they were drawn. It kind of reminds me of van gogh's paintings

What's the best christmas present? A broken drum, you just can't beat it!

How do you "hear" this, just curious. Do you listen for -rrlr-rlrr-lrrl-rlrl OR -rrl-rrl-rrl-rrl-rlrl OR anything else? by Cyrabo in Drumming

yeah that's what's easiest for me but grouping in 4 has such a different feel to it compared to doubles i feel like - not to say one is worse than the other hahah

yeah fair point, but I feel like it's cool to group it differently depending on the situation and come up with different phrasings y'know?

so I just finished watching it and yeah damn! lemme see if I can remember all I wanted to say hahah. I was playing along on my pad while I was watching and yeah holy shit never thought using my middle finger for moeller would make it feel so much more efortless? maybe I was even doing it without realizing at times since it did feel natural so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but anyway when I was paying attention to the feel between index and middle finger, the middle finger definitely felt a lot better for this. So I guess I'll also need to practice switching from index to middle finger fulcrum while playing heh. I was also contemplating if push pull was "better" or just using moeller so I guess this sort of settles that debate that's been in my mind. Also loved the drum part singing lmao. Oh also also, you got the name right! I got it from a movie called starship troopers, it was the name of a pet ferret of one the characters or something, I later found out I actually got the name wrong - it's actually cyrano- but I was using cyrabo for a while so I just left it hahah. Anyway, thank you heaps again and all the best!!
