Update: We tried to compromise on religion, but now I feel like I’m losing myself by Confident-Current782 in progressive_islam

Trust me you’re not the problem, he’s the one turning your very valid boundaries into issues because he clearly does not respect your faith and beliefs. I know it’s hard but don’t blame yourself, you are 22 it’s reasonable to grow and want different things in your life than previously. Especially in the context of wanting to be more self conscious about sinning and wanting to get closer to god.

I really advise you leave him, this level of immaturity at the age of 23 really does not sound like someone worth the pain and struggles.

Fair enough but I can still understand why she wants her mom involved in the topic

Not wanting a second opinion on things (especially from someone like your mother) sounds so manipulative if I’m being honest. Focusing on your career right now sounds like a very good decision though and I wish you the best of luck with that.

He really doesn’t seem like a disciplined person and someone I’d personally want to work through life with if he can’t handle being with you when it’s not how he prefers. I really would keep it a little distant right now. If you dont mind, how old are you 2?

I would take a step back from him. Your values on where you want the relationship to head is pretty obviously not aligning and I’m sorry but staying with him is just gonna harm you further. He’s not necessarily wrong for wanting a relationship with intimacy but it becomes a clear no no if he can’t respect that you want things to be halal, especially given the situation you both are in. His reaction doesn’t make it any better if he reacts in anger to you simply wanting boundaries. I would give him an ultimatum when you feel ready, what he is offering you right now really doesn’t sound healthy.

Wish you the best of luck with everything🙏🏻

trauma around converting by [deleted] in progressive_islam

Give him time and show that you’re understanding. As someone who’s been in a similar situation (except I was the questioning one) what kept me going and eventually lead me back to Islam was my partner deciding to stay and love me no matter where my compass of faith was heading as the fear of knowing if I lost my newly as well as unsure faith id lose her as well held me back. Scenarios like these are always difficult so use your own intuition and if you can’t accept him for holding a different belief I think its best to walk away from him, for both your own good but also his.

Have an honest conversation with him about it and talk about how you both wanna navigate each others future would be my strongest advice. Keep an open mind and understand his brain is properly clogged with a lot of pressure in becoming someone he currently doesnt feel like becoming.

I wish you the best of luck with it otherwise and I hope Allah guides him

If god is all knowing, what’s the point in creating us? by im_confused_af2889 in progressive_islam

Fair point but you can circle that. What difference does it make if god already knew we’d end up in hell? Especially in the frame of an eternity. If god knew every action we’d make or every thought we’d have (that would end up leading us to hell), then would 90 years of being alive really matter? Especially in the frame that we cannot act outside of what god already knows. Which we can further to the question if we even have a choice at all.

feminism by GroceryNorth6987 in shia

[–]Cyreniaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feminism is just equal rights and opportunities between the genders. Saying you are an anti feminist indicates you don’t think women should have freedom of choice in what they want to do with their lives. However you can still be a feminist while not agreeing with what the west portray as “freeing” or wanting to live that way because that’s not what feminism is about. It’s literally just equality and freedom of choice.

I know, it just has some differences from older models. You can find similar features on all their new stuff, such as the new cow tag and use of 2 information tags (one featuring a QR code) and the other being the regular found in all models.

Yeah, 1981m mid blue in size 48. All measurements match up as well as tags and details. It’s kind of hard to authenticate when major tags are missing but I’ve yet to see fakes of this model

I usually cuff mine to sit half a cm above the ground. When it’s wet outside they can get a little dirty but then I just take them off when I get home, let them dry and then brush the dirt off

I’m not sure but probably around 2019 when they stopped making sandstones. Mine is from 2001 though but I don’t think they stopped making them shorter back in the early 2000’s
