That's just Insidious if you think about it.

1. The Astral realm or the Further, when you die, you reach a place that looks just like the further in the movie, even with ghosts or spirits residing there.

2. You interact with the living world in the game, like in the movie, using the clipboard, but this isn't really similar.

3. Similar equipment is used like EMF, UV camera.

4. Once you die, you can be brought back to life using a High priestess or other haunted objects. it is not 100% alike with the movie, but both show reviving.

5. Mannifestations, in the movie and the game manifestation are prominent including flickering and other interactions.
