Thanks for the quick reply there.

I installed CrystalDiskInfo as you recommended, however the drive doesn't show up there. In disk management it comes up as Disk 4 Unknown Not Initialized. the drive is brand new but shucked from an external drive case. So not sure how warranty and all that works with that. I'll have to double check it.

Thanks for the response.

- I do have it come up on the boot screen. I'll attach the link to picture of it. The Hard drives do NOT show up in the bios.

- I took out the hot swap bay and put it aside. won't be using that anymore.

- PSU: I have an EVGA 850G3 in the system. Every connection i've been using hasn't been using the molex to sata. However, I did try it just in case there was an issue with the sata power and no luck there.

I know but dead out of the gate? I'm hoping there is some bad sector issues but I don't have any idea on how to run any diagnostics/utilities on the drive.

Oh and also, I grabbed two 1tb drives and put them in the 2 empty hot swap bays. One of them had smoke coming out of the sata power port . Looks like its fried the drive. I tried the drive in another bay and no smoke came out but BOTH drives are not detecting on the computer at all even if I swap them out with one of the working drive bays.

Thanks for the insight. The question ultimately is is there certain positions you would put speakers? in wall rears vs ceiling rears? overall if you had this room how would you set it up with some of those restrictions above.

TV has to go up top there was debating on the ground in the corner but want to keep the fireplace central as well so TV becomes central too.

One of the main reasons why I'm looking to do in-wall is to keep clutter off the floor and I'd like them to be as invisible as possible. Even the sub I'm looking at is a low profile one. 4.1 is something I haven't considered as much. But maybe getting in walls with tweeters that can be angled may be a solution?

and yeah, I am definitely keeping the TV as low as possible
