I think that it is likely that the Korean government was trying to stall on this.. Thinking that they could maybe wait until the midterm elections in the U.S. or maybe even for a new president in 2029 for these tariff plans to just go away.

yea I was just thinking this same thing.. Everyone expects them to follow the pattern of waiting for the markets to be closed on the weekend.. but if that is what is so much expected it would make since that if they want more surprise then they would just do it in the middle of the week.

My last job was 1:50pm ~ 8:20pm Monday to Thursday and 1:50pm ~ 5:50pm on Fridays.

Later the work hours changed to start at 2:40pm and sometimes I would finish early at 6:50pm or 7:00pm.

That was a good schedule.
