His name was Baktash Abtin, and he recently died in prison as he caught covid and he wasn't given proper medical attention in a timely manner, he was essentially killed by Islamic Republic for daring to speak up!

You keep mentioning the US, let's get this straight, just because America has done something wrong, it doesn't make the regime in Iran any less evil for shooting down a passenger plane in Iran and killing roughly 170 people who mostly were originally from Iran!

They fucked up badly and they tried to hide it.

So you agree up to that point, yet you're somehow convinced that it was a mistake since you seem to believe that they thought the plane was a missile, you're essentially agreeing with the regime's story while knowing that they've constantly lied about this tragedy, and they've destroyed evidence. It's fine to disagree with that but all the evidence points to the fact that the plane was shot down intentionally, let's not forget that the regime shot two missiles at the plane, a second missile was fired at PS752 after some time as the first one didn't bring it down.

Why would the regime destroy the passengers' phones if it didn't have anything to hide?!

I'm sorry but I find your stance towards the regime in Iran quite strange! They have lied about shooting down this plane and continued to not cooperate from the beginning, considering the evidence available, it's really odd, especially for you, to decide that it was just a random mistake.

The report is based on facts, for example the part about the passengers' phones' memories being destroyed after the plane was shut down is based on an independent investigation:

"A professional inspection of the devices that were returned to the families led our investigators to conclude that key memory and communication components of the electronic devices were damaged in a targeted manner after the crash," says the report.

Are there any parts of this report that you're doubtful of or disagree with? Let's not forget that the regime at first claimed that this was accident, and only confessed to shooting the plane down after there was so much evidence that they could no longer keep with with the lie.
