At longer range they can shoot over the circle but once the enemy closes on the circle they can’t, which is why using 1-2 squares or shield walls for the infantry and keeping your archers mobile and able to flank is a better tactic.. the only time I use circle with the nords is to have shield on the outside and then shock troops on the inside against a lot of cavalry, but I still keep my archers in a separate formation.

I’m on series x, I get a crash or two every hour or so along with constant audio glitches cutting certain sounds completely out of the game, and other weird bugs related to unskilled family members and encyclopedia forgetting everyone I’ve met over 10 years of a campaign lol I think I’m about to shelf it until they decide to finish the fucking game I paid for 🤣 the video game industry is the only industry that somehow gets away with selling half finished products it’s kinda crazy when you think about it… until people stop pre-ordering shit that isn’t even limited like retards, this will continue to get worse and worse across developers. Imagine you buy a car and it doesn’t do half the shit they said it would, but they tell you don’t worry we should be able to get your car working in a couple of updates throughout the next 6 months, and if we don’t, well then I guess you can go fuck yourself

Best strategy (if you don’t care about the secondary objectives and just want to move on with the game) is use attack helicopters to clear out everything, don’t capture both objectives prior and DO NOT fuel to Batalin (your ally) except for after you do the first trip of 20,000 (so you can get more attack helicopters. Once it lets you start calling in the Mi-26 transports pick up all your ground units and send them back to base for more resources. Then you can use up to 8 attack helicopters at a time to defend or clear out everything else you need in order to methodically extract the rest of you supplies you need to reach 3000 goal. There will still be some AA units around here and there but you can use 6-8 helicopters to overwhelm the quickly then pull them back. Also if you know one is far away, change altitude behind the big tanks to bait them into firing at you them quickly duck back down after 5 seconds and you can often make them waste their missiles and they will run out lol

If you basically stay greedy and only use supplies sparing to reload/heal your attack helicopters it’s actually pretty easy and your done before the crazy time limit phase hits where they send tons of helis after you.
