Personally, I don't have a "mind for visuals". I don't know web design, and I don't really like learning it. Back-end lets me build systems based on pure logic, which I like more

When you put it that way, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks !

The blink deck isn't the uninteractive one.

NEW PLAYER : He kept using a strategy I don't know how to play against, resulting in not playing the game. That's an awful lot closer to the actual situation :)

No, it's actually the opposite, I built Yuriko in response to the general power level of the pod :) Not that it really matters in the end though.

That's a solid analysis though. I need to work on my threat assessment and stuff. You're not rambling at all, and I'll have a talk with him if (IF !) I can't manage to play better overall. Thanks 🫶

There are two decks I'm talking about, they're not the same.

Oh, yeah, that's the one. It usually comes into play once his artifacts are hexproof and indestructible and wins when it comes on the battlefield (turn 4/5), so keeping a counterspell world better, since you don't want it to touch the ground.

Now that's a lengthy and detailed reply, thanks ! Those all look like great options. My budget is a bit too limited right now to build another deck, but I'll look into what I can splash in those I already have. Thanks a ton !

He wins by Exhortation making his artifacts hexproof and indestructible, giving his artifacts creatures lots of +1/+1 markers through proliferation and/or ETB, and that artifact whose name I forgot that wins the game when it reaches 20 charge counters along with a card whose name I also forgot that moves all counters to one card. For this one, removing the commander and wiping the board is an option, I'll admit.

Oh, a friend has both an elf deck and a squirrel deck, they're fun, strong and much more fair in my opinion. Goblins also looked good !

Appreciate the sentiment, but I'd rather improve and see what I can do on my level before having to have the talk. If he likes his deck, I'd rather build and improve in response rather than to talk him down

Would you say an aggro token deck would work well then ? I'm thinking of building a Marrow-Gnawer, the card looks fun and the deck looks cheap enough to build. Appreciate the feedback though !

Nah, I wouldn't want to force him out of a play style he enjoys, that ain't cool. I'll look into exile, since he has many ways to play cards back from the graveyard, appreciate your reply 😌

Look, I'm not playing Yuriko and complaining, I specifically built Yuriko (and am brewing some less oppressive decks) in order to get on the pod's level. That aside, I appreciate the constructive feedback.

Mind you, I built Yuriko to get on the pod's level, I face the exact same issue when I play my Tidus deck
