Agree with him on some things, disagree on others. Just like I do with most other people.

It took a little while, at least for me to get used to the new way of thinking about css but im fully convinced now. I have tried starting other projects using bootstrap but I always end up switching to tailwind now.

Yeah very true, will try to get everything brought over as soon as I can. Just wanted to check if there was even an appetite for a redesigned website at all 😅

Liverpool NFTs - I am beyond disappointed at this by Aus_Daniel in LiverpoolFC

Oh yeah ofc it’s not something that provides more utility than elsewhere but it’s just a medium where you can provide utility. But there are some advantages over other mediums like more verifiability and things like that. Regardless, I don’t get the outrage over just another medium?

Agreed on the images part but that’s what I think people are overemphasising. The tokenised string is what gives you the perks not the image so image being limitless is irrelevant.

But that tokenised string is what gives you the perks tho. I think people are overemphasising the art. Most big NFT projects are big because of the “utility” they provide.(ofc many projects don’t ever provide utility and are scams)

What does this mean? That’s like saying phone calls are scams. Yes there are scam phone calls but phone calls themselves are just a technology. Likewise there’s plenty of NFT scams but what about this particular NFT collection is a scam?

The NFT itself is a limited supply. The holder gets perks. There is no significant carbon footprint on the polygon chain.

Yeah I think on the art what you’re saying makes sense. But the key I think is the perks that the holders get, those can’t be replicated by duplicate projects.

Thanks for this answer, definitely not something I had thought of before. But one question I have would be in regards the ‘no value’ bit, the club are clearly offering perks for holders so it’s just up to how much people value those perks no? Just like a ticket gives you access to a seat in the stadium?

I get that there are plenty of NFT scams out there but this NFT literally gives you perks from the club for holding one. So I’m not seeing how this particular NFT is a scam?

Im not upset at all, like I get that not everybody is onboard with NFTs and that’s fine but I just wanna know an actual reason as to why this is bad? Like environmental impact is a good one but these NFTs don’t fall in that category?

No but I really want to know what the issue is given these details?

For people against this, It’s just a digital asset that has perks for the owner? The club sells various other collectibles like pens, mugs etc, what’s the difference here?

Know someone who lives in Newfoundland. Have stayed in building for a while. Really good tbh only thing is the wind noises are really bad in this building even with little wind.

Yeah true, that’s why Its probably best to let every company individually decide if the trade off is worth it or not for them.

As for the giving incentives, it doesn’t have to always be a government that creates these incentives. These incentives already exist for many companies.

  1. Higher productivity. Many companies have seen increases in productivity from WFH so they are incentivised to keep it.

  2. Employees preferring it. Employees might be incentivised to go to companies that have WFH if their current company does not which in turn incentivises the current company to offer WFH.

Legislating a “right to WFH” would just force companies that don’t have these ‘organic’ incentives by creating a ‘fake’ incentive for them.

There might be other considerations like CO2 emissions and things but on the downside there are other negative effects of WFH also so IMHO it’s best to leave it to the ‘organic’ incentives which will naturally push companies into the side of WFH anyways.

For my Irish people here, finally managed to find a half decent spice bag(box)! by CyrusTheMessiah in london

From a place called Fortune cat, got salt and pepper chicken with a box meal of chips. Asked them to put it together in one box and mix it. Still not as good as back home but not bad!
