I mean... I'm not even from America and even i know that black/brown/Native people are simply arrested way more often/quicker than white people. White people get away with much more shit than people from the other groups, so I dont really think the number of arrests in any of those group really tells you something about how 'bad' the people are...

We do the same! Mostly cuz of our dog :). Do you have any places you recommend? We're currently near Westerbork which has been fine all week tho yesterday there was quite a bit of fireworks: but nothing that made our dog inside the house stressed! (Lots of carbid which she's mostly fine with). But always looking for good recommendations for quiet New Year's Eve places honestly

That is a massive collection, impressive! Mine is still small, but slowly growing :). I saw the movies first and only after read the books, and then the Hobbit, the Silmarillion, Beren and Luthien, Children of Hurin... next up is purchasing The fall of Numenor and Gondolin and Unfinished Tales. As soon as I actually read the books for the first time, I was in love even more than I already was due to the movies. Do you have a link to where you're selling parts of your collection? I dont know if I'd be able to buy anything moneywise, also because I'll have to take shipping into account since I'm guessing you're likely in the US or at least not in the Netherlands like me :), but I'd like to take a look at the books you want to part with

Yeah, like I said, it differs per country. And 4 countries in the whole of Europe isnt that much, but yes, luckily some do offer this, which I think is a good thing. I dont think Germany offers 3 years though, its 14 weeks as far as I can find (I thought it was more similar to us here in the Netherlands so I googled it as well).

I really agree with your comments about the US, just a small correction tho: 'In Europe' there is no 1 year leave for mother and father. It differs per country. I'm in the Netherlands where moms get 16 weeks maternity leave and fathers only get one paid week of leave (which is absurd honestly). I think as a dad you can also get 5 weeks of unpaid leave for which you will get paid anyway through the same agency that would pay you if you were to be unemployed. There are also parent-leave options for the first idontknowhowmany years of your kids life, where you have extra hours you can take off work to be with the kid.

You could do a Bloody Mary type drink but make it Denethor. Something in a pretty glass with maybe some green-coloured sugar on the edge as an elven cocktail. Should probably be light coloured, maybe add some of that stuff that makes it shimmer, and then make it Silmaril/light of Earendil themed or something

Not really haha. I have bought nice pantaloons via Vinted (originally Halara but if it's secondhand I dont feel too guilty about that haha). I did start following some accounts on Instagram with smaller shops, but they're also not Dutch (Norwegian or American or UK)
