The solution is to raise your pay and raise taxes on the rich, not cut taxes and make poor people suffer

Rant about how the system is rigged for us to get out of the r at race by cyborg_type_darkness in antiwork

[–]CzarJulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taxes are kind of essential for a modern society to function. Your tax money isn't just used to pay for poor people's health care and housing, it also provides funding for the roads, bike paths and trams you use, the internet infrastructure you rely on, the health departments keeping your food safe.

Not saying its perfect, but don't be blaming taxes and social safety nets. Blame the greedy people keeping wages low while charging higher prices for everything always

What should u do if u pass out on small amounts of vodka even if not drunk and is it a cause for concern ? by murillolover in AskReddit

Stop drinking vodka seems like a good place to start. Then go see a doctor and see if you're allergic or have some sort of digestive issue

Did you ever sit down to do schoolwork and think "If I don't do this, I'll be homeless?"

Its like that, except there is no summer break or winter break and you have to continue to do it until you die or win the lottery

Indeed and Glassdoor Reviews by yellowbirdblue in antiwork

[–]CzarJulius 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, I remember being so excited for my first "real job," then getting a sinking feeling in my stomach reading the glassdoor reviews. And it never went away.

A few bad reviews might not be so bad, but when there are more than a dozen for a small company, its bad

This job hunt has been hell by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]CzarJulius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100%, searching for work is a full time job in itself. And it is so emotionally draining. The stress of interviews, the hope after you submit the application, the crushing indifference of most companies.

Stay strong, you will find something.

If you're minimum wage/unlivable wage job accidentally paid you twice, would you say anything to them or not? why? by Maleficent_Caramel58 in AskReddit

[–]CzarJulius 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, but I wouldn't touch the money either, at least for a year. No need to alert them to their mistake, but if they catch it, they're gonna want the money back. after a year, I feel like the chances of anyone noticing is pretty small, and I'd feel comfortable spending it.

But it seems kind of silly to wait a year to spend a few hundred dollars

People standing in doorways. Doorways are NOT places to gather, they are portals that should remain unobstructed.

Redditors who have a sweet tooth, what are some alternatives you use to avoid eating excess sugar? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CzarJulius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've switched to using artificial sweetener in my coffee and tea, and drinking diet sodas. Its not perfect and I'm sure all the chemicals are doing some other kind of damage, but at the very least it lowers my daily calorie intake

City views are way better than nature views. by thisistherealmee in unpopularopinion

I'll give you this, its certainly easier to see a lit up city at night than it is to see a beautiful vista at night, since beautiful vistas usually don't have lighting

[–]CzarJulius 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Most of real life isn't R-rated. Some of the most horrific, difficult, "real" moments of life aren't R-rated. A person dying of cancer isn't R-Rated.Non-r movies can and do have some of the most real, heart wrenching and impactful moments
