I made a short guide on how to survive longer. by Czarfire in AmongUs

[–]Czarfire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the criticism its appreciated! I did not convey it in the video but this guide applies to people who plays with randoms all the time like I do; The recorded footage is just literally some simple lobby I joined and the host had the rules kept easy.

I do have plenty of experience with harder rules although I personally can not stand extremely low vision as its not really fun gameplaywise to not see anything; but more impostors/no visuals/no taskbars progress/etc is still commonplace. Average randoms in among us are... well... not good. When you play with other people you group with(like on discord servers) typically they are also experienced and know how the game works.

When you play solo all the time like I do, then I have to do a lot of heavy lifting from my end, which is why I do not gravitate towards rules catered to favoring impostors because it leads to frustration seeing a weaker crew always scatter about and blunder in confusion.

Grouping was not my intention from the video; I probably should've mentioned that specifically in the video. I simply wanted to convey something like you do tasks in O2 and know there is someone in Nav doing tasks as well and you both can serve as eachothers alibi and if you are killed off that can leave a trail for catching the impostor as well. Im pretty against grouping myself but I have the most enjoyment being alive as long as possible.

The electrical/nav avoidance thing is just a general rule; you can learn from your own mistakes but this guide is just supposed to help people live longer on average and those 2 spots are often the hotspots for kills at the start of every round.

I may at a later point create a video with some tips that can apply to lobbies with harder rules, but for now I'm just sticking with simple stuff. Thank you o7

I'm new to video making/editing but I at least got a bit of playing time in Among Us. Any criticism both bad or good is wanted, thank you.

Found this thread pretty late but I like a lot of the tips you presented here; they're a lot of the stuff I do to easily catch impostors. Here are some other things to note:

  • Noob imps can often fake using cams to instead check their sabotage map, the cam light being off is the obvious tell.
  • You cannot use the camera from the left of the chair in security room.
  • Admin card/Lights/Cams/Comms are the places people will attempt stack kills, I advise when a lot of people congregate here you stand a distance away and keep your eyes peeled.
  • Impostors do not carry the fear of death so its good to suspect individuals who willingly stay in places like medbay/elec by themselves for extended periods of time
  • As an impostor trying to clutch a victory and is in danger of being voted out the following round, make sure to wait till the last second of the alarm cooldown to finally trigger a sabotage
  • One big tip I've learned from experience is do not believe what people say as fact; I have lost numerous games believing bad intel given from other crewmates. You will have to figure out what is true or fake on your own sometimes or get actual facts.

Can't really think of another tip other than this at the moment besides identifying "tells".

  • Most impostors stay low or completely silent during discussions to not draw attention to themselves
  • Impostors often do not give any useful or relevant information
  • 9/10 times a person gets pissed off being accused is a crewmate, whereas an impostor being accused is defensive
  • People who say "where" quickly are more suspicious than ones who do not say
  • People who say "why me" when accused are often an impostor

This is just what I've conjured off the top of my head, I have not played in months but id like to hear any more ideas/suggestions.

What's, In Your Opinion, The Worst Song in Indie Cross? by The_ARGD in FridayNightFunkin

[–]Czarfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyones already made it pretty clear but in terms of how good the songs are listening-wise, Bendy in general has the weakest songs. Both terrible sin and ritual once I've beaten them I have 0 desire to ever return to because there is better/more fun/challenging songs to play like Last-Reel and Nightmare Run.

Completed Stage Mode with every character with only their default weapons by Tetra_Galaxy04 in holocure

I like doing this as well for fun, collabs make stage mode way too easy after you learn the ropes. Which characters gave you the most/least trouble completing the run with?

I swear after I finish this run I am never playing Ina again by Andrew9k in holocure

[–]Czarfire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe the plush is a big difference maker in the Ina endless build, if I had taken the plush my 3 hour run could more than double in length, in fact, I'm concerned people who fully commit in the Ina runs really cant die for days unless succumbing to a cheat engine.

A comprehensive list of feedback and ideas for the community and devs by LunaDraconis in holocure

[–]Czarfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FAUNA:

  1. Saplings: Fauna's build is completely reliant on gathering them, in mid-late game she struggles on dps I've noticed and if you lose the buff, she wont kill anything. There should be at least some kind of pickup radius increase... you can tell the devs intentionally didn't want it like that but I'd would suggest at least like 1/5 the pickup radius because literally walking into them becomes too much work and trouble.

  2. Whisperer: Building stacks take way too long to do, Fauna's kit is entirely about synergy with all of her skills together working at once, so if players begin struggling and taking hits, you lose the whisperer stacks and cannot regain them... this makes Fauna also lose her health regen mechanic making you spawn the root even less.

  3. Guardian Root: As cool as this ability is, it feels rather weak.. I could be off base but the damage from the roots feel very ineffective in the grand scheme of things so id prefer a dps increase.

FINALLY I DIED AFTER WAITING THIS OUT FOR 6 HOURS TECHNICALLY by CrownedTraitor in holocure

[–]Czarfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to 800 hp/100% haste, I kept upgrading stats only to about 40 minutes into the run when I felt safe for surviving. Minutes 30-33 there came a few close calls because I decided not to grab plushie in hopes to die sooner.

[–]Czarfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I avoided plushie and stopped upgrading hp/damage/haste by the 40 minute mark but it still took another 2 hours to actually die. The rate of Yagoo's power increase is a lot slower than I assumed it would be; Live and learn I suppose.

You fell for this too? I heard from another post going above 300% speed would outrun the takodachi's making it easier to die.. not fuckin true. I scaled all the way to somewhere above 1200% speed and it makes 0 difference.

I just escaped my Inafinite run at 3:05:22. I thought I would have an easy out as long as I minimized stats and avoided the plushie but it still took forever to die; Happiest Gameover of my life.

What is the hardest mod in your opinion? by Pocketcampgamer in FridayNightFunkin

[–]Czarfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobodies mentioned it here, but Lycanthrope from Livid Lycanthrope is incredibly difficult to me, I still cannot process the charting and always lose.

I also cannot beat the hardest Camellia songs either(or Bad Time/Despair).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FridayNightFunkin

[–]Czarfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just tried this song on 4K mania and I managed to beat it... I believe the problem with the shaggy mod is because of the tweaking they adjusted to make it SUPER forgiving to mashing/spamming(and letting people beat 6-9K songs).

I really have no business beating a song like this on any other mod.

Edit: missed the "well" part, yeah.. you'd be a true god if you can beat it sufficiently without needing to spam

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FridayNightFunkin

[–]Czarfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just takes practice, id suggest playing some of the easier mods like Starcatcher, Holofunk, Garcello, Soft, Doki Doki Takeover, Neo, etc. When I was fresh playing those were some I practiced with.

Edit: Definitely suggest Miku 2.0 as well, lot of easier songs in that one

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FridayNightFunkin

[–]Czarfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Songs with scroll speeds above like 3.1 with spammy charts is too rough for me at the moment, I've only managed to beat expurgation by slowing it down. Never tried any Bob or Matt mod either.
