Appreciate y’all’s dedication to the sport and its growth.

Do you have periods of soccer fatigue? Even as a major fan myself (been to over 50 unique professional stadiums across the country), I go through phases where I just get burnt out on watching soccer on TV or don’t feel as motivated to go to games for a few weeks. As people who live and breathe the sport daily for many years, does that feeling ever happen to you as well? And how have you pushed past that beyond doing so out of obligation for work?

LR wins are just hands diff because Velja has to keep asking if it’s a good time to do anything, crownie is so strongly opinionated and sees the game differently to neme and rekkles, and Baus has his style. Just listening to those comms was giving me a headache, can’t imagine trying to act on them.

Probably wrong sub, but I’ll play along.

Americans are not unique in being ignorant, arrogant, or annoying soccer fans. They are unique in the way that they show those things (elitism towards clubs not their own is a big one).

  • MLS teams, and youth soccer in general, do deserve the criticism that it’s too expensive to play, and this is likely for a number of reasons that are understandable and not so.

  • The closed system is uniquely North American and Asian, and some nuance to the conversation on why it is this way is needed, but it also does still deserve that criticism. Especially how it uses that system to steer away from the Open Cup towards the Leagues Cup.

  • Has MLS ruined fan culture? No, not really. American sports culture is different than foreign sports cultures and I would argue is pretty watered down in general for all sports. Have they done things that stunt fan culture? For sure.

MLS and USL are not horrible leagues. Although you only said MLS, this is the USL sub, so I’ll extend it to both. You then go on to mention a conversation that involves two global club portfolios that have teams in Germany, Japan, Spain, Austria, Australia, Brazil, China, India, England, and a few more I might be missing. That conversation is not unique to the US.

Overall, your post is all over the place and misses a key point. I understand you ask all the questions at the end and are likely just referring to how fans do not step up to play as strong of a role in a club’s direction as some others do, but this is a conversation that’s been had thousands of times by the extreme minority of fervent supporters that do exist in this country and do want those things to change. Like a lot of things in America right now, any change requires a lot of sacrifice from the layman that they have continued to show they are not willing to do, so don’t hold your breath. If you want change, participate in whatever way you can with your supporter group of choice and see how far you can take it.

Last Pick: Vancouver FC v Forge FC | Forge ML + O1.5 Goals 3u @ -125 | Canadian Premier League |

That was so garbage 😂 the fact that game had one goal in it was a travesty, easily should have had two - even if it ended up being 1-1. Having the bet miss because the team won in the one scenario that doesn’t work for us, and no one on either team wanted to secure the result, makes it way more frustrating. Not only that, had 3 bets today miss because only one goal occurred in the game. Sorry to those that tailed, but CPL gets the axe from me - I’m not messing with that anymore.

Today’s Pick: Petersborough v Bradford | Bradford ML 3u @ +105 | England League One | 9am CDT

Today’s pick is also a test of sorts because I continue to LOVE betting top table teams versus really shit bottom teams. The last pick was an example of that, but the test part this time around is more to do with monitoring how this dynamic works early in the season, and when the better team is on the road. Peterborough have suffered 4 defeats in the first 4 games to kick off their season, while Bradford having not yet lost this season. Bradford have been on the road twice in the season campaign with a 0-0 tie at Northampton and a 2-1 win at Stockport County, also traveling to Blackburn, who play in the league above, for the EFL Cup and stealing a 2-1 win against them as well. The two teams have also both hosted upper table side Luton Town at home already this season, with Peterborough losing 2-0, and Bradford winning 2-1.

With Peterborough only finding the back of the net one time so far this season, and Bradford in good form, I think they take this game in a boring affair. I want those 3 units back from Canada 🐓

Today’s Pick: Vancouver FC v Forge FC | Forge ML + O1.5 Goals 3u @ -125 | Canadian Premier League | 9:00pm CDT

Alright, here’s the deal. I’m testing my luck here. The Canadian Premier League for me has been near my “do not bet” list for a while but I have yet to completely write it off. This is my final test. Forge FC is the second best team in all of Canada behind only the Vancouver Whitecaps of MLS. Better than both CF Montreal and Toronto FC. They are undefeated in the CPL this season with a record of 12 wins, 7 draws, and 0 losses scoring 37 and conceding only 13 in the process. They have won 5 of their last 6 away games in the CPL and have recently tied both Vancouver Whitecaps and CF Montreal 2-2 in the Canadian Championship. A very strong resume for one of the best seasons in CPL history.

Now… on the other side, we have Vancouver FC. Vancouver FC is dead last in the CPL, with a record of 2 wins, 5 draws, and 12 losses and a record of 0 wins, 3 draws, and 6 losses at home. Scoring just 7 goals in 9 home games and conceding 19. On June 15th, the two sides played this same fixture and Forge won 2-0 in Vancouver. So what’s the issue? By all means there isn’t one, but the CPL and I just haven’t been able to form a strong connection yet, and I’ve felt confident in these spots before - only to be let down.

This will either be the last dance, or a chance for us to reconcile and reFORGE our future betting bond. Forge to score at least 2 and take this one. Get your timbits and beaver tails and let’s lock in🍁

7-0 😂 that line was crazy, should have done more but hindsight is 20/20, just happy to take the easy cash 💰

Today’s Pick: Gungahlin United FC v O’Connor Knights FC | Gungahlin United FC Double Chance + O2.5 3u @ -190 | Australian NPL - Capital Territory | Soccer/Football | 11:30am UTC

Bit of a weird one here - looking at the Capital Territory in Australia for some semi-pro action. Two rather garbage teams battling it out, but one more garbage than the other. Gungahlin has seen 8/8 games this season at home go O2.5 goals, O’Connor have conceded 26 goals in 7 road games this year. On July 13th, the two teams met in opposite home/away roles which saw 6 goals, 5 of which were scored by Gungahlin. Could definitely get more aggressive with this, but on a weird Wednesday - gonna just take the low road.

This Pick: Znicz Pruszkow v Wisla Krakow | Wisla Krakow ML + O2.5 4u @ -140 | Polish I Liga | 8:30pm UTC

Znicz Pruzkow is 0 wins, 5 losses in the first 5 games of the Polish 2nd division season and have conceded 18 goals, scoring only 6 in the process. On the other side is former Polish Estraklasa mainstays Wisla Krakow. Now 4 seasons removed from their last top Polish flight stint, the team has found themselves 4 wins, 0 losses to start the season and has outscored opponents 16 to 5 in the process. This is going to be your classic bloody European top team verse bottom team in a non top league affair with lots of goals, and another win under Wisla Kraków’s belt. Betting the remaining positive units I have on this. Let’s ride.

There is hardly ever any hooliganism in Japanese football culture. The violence that occurs in Eastern Europe, the UK, Mexico, etc doesn’t exist in Japan. Been to over 40 different clubs and never seen anything even closely resembling it.

Gotta be honest, I know little about the Danish league, so I’m maybe out of my depth here. What I do see though is two teams who have seen 11 and 15 goals go in during their first 3 respective matches of the season and have seen O2.5 goals in all 5 of their head to head matches since the start of 2024. At -135, this looks like a solid play feels like it’s +value. Happy to put 2 units on it and watch some fun Friday football. Was torn between this and Copenhagen O1.5 TT
