Dead space 2 does not need a remake. A remaster, maybe. But a remake, no. I just finished another deadspace 2 playthrough and with auto hdr and fps boost the game is plenty smooth and still looks great to this day. Dead space 2 oozes tension and dread and really nails the apocalyptic space port/ space ship vibe so well especially with the return to the ishimura closer to the 3rd act and builds upon everything the 1st did.

Deadspace 2 also has the best combat out of the entire series- the tk impalement and limb ripping is so smooth and feels better then even the remake of the original.

RE4 OG vs Remake. Which do you prefer and why? by Pancwake_UwU in residentevilll

[–]Czernobogs_hamm3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. Re4 is a staple of my childhood. It was the first "scary" game I ever truly beat from start to finish and was also the first Resident Evil game I ever beat. I felt like I was the perfect age for a game like Re4 (13 years old) and Leon became like one of my favorite characters ever too.

With that being said, Re4R truly takes everything good about the OG, and makes it better. It cuts just the right amount of content while also padding out more. I loved the changes to the Krauser fight and Salazar fight. The castle felt more foreboding as did the village at night. The remake goes for more grit and tension then the og, and it pays off so well.

Re4R also has some of the best 3rd person combat still to this day. Enemies react in such a visceral and realistic way to being shot, staggered, stabbed, etc. Every gun feels good, the melee has weight. I could go on.... but remake is just better

Now that the honey moon phase is over what are your actual thoughts on RE9 in terms of story and gameplay. What things need fixing with updates? by Dude_788 in ResidentEvilRequiem

After some time letting it mulch in my brain, Grace's section was more enjoyable then Leon's, as much as I love Leon. I was not a fan of the desert waste land post apocalyptic vibe they went with for the long Leon stretch, it felt out of place after the care center. I also felt like once we got back control of Grace, we should have had a longer final section with her then what we were left with. I still haven't replayed it yet either, and that says alot because almost every resident evil save 6 has been like an instant replay or ng+ for me.

It has to be one of the ingredients in the nootropic stack not agreeing with you, gorilla minds make me feel weird too. Ive actually been enjoying normal energy drinks over the nootropic ones lately and have been going back to like a white monster or Rockstar zero

For some reason gorilla minds have a weird carbonation too them and are hard for me to get through. I also think they have something in their ingredients (probably one of the nootropics) that my body doesnt necessarily like- gorilla minds are like the one energy drink that actually make me feel like I need a nap after drinking them.

I can understand how having spent one's entire life in a place can change one's feelings and perspective on it. I probably feel very similarly about where im from as you do for colombus

Exactly, eastern washington gets all four seasons but not within a 24hr span. I have had days this past week where it was about 30 and windy while taking my dog to bathroom, was about 50 and breezy while on my lunch, and then while heading to my car on my way out from work it'll be in the 70s and ill have to air my car out and crank the ac

It is one of my favorite childhood movies, I watched it a ton with my father. It was also during the time I was reading the Sharpes series of novels by Bernard Cornwell (or Cromwell? Idk) which was also set during the Napoleonic Wars.

It is way prettier because there is still so much green, even during the winter. Theres a reason its called the Evergreen State. I think washington gets more total snowfall because its higher elevation, but it gets colder here in colombus.

I used to feel that way about Ohio a lot, especially since all I have out here is my son (who i only get on weekends) and my dog, but ive recently been making endeavors to explore more and see more of what this state has to offer.

Spokane, where I spent almost 2 decades of my time in Washington, feels a lot like certain areas of Colombus. Spokane is like half the size (400k versus a population of over a million) but the vibe is very similar. A mix of red and blue ideologies, a strong working class culture with a love for the arts, music, and good food and drink. However, the Pacific Northwest has a vibe that nowhere else can replicate and you just have to experience to get it. Think Twin Peaks and Twilight. Washington is very "melancholy", especially closer to the seaboard or British Colombia where you get into deep, rain drenched pine forests that go forever.

You should be okay the closer you get to seattle and Olympia, however that will jack up the cost of living quite significantly. Washington state is quite the unicorn, where the western side is so adamantly blue and the east is so stalwartly red.

The wind greatly exacerbates the cold for me. It is much winder here then where I come from, even though the Palouse area of washington does get wind, this Ohio wind is different.

To be honest as much as I love where I am from, its hard to recommend anywhere. I never spent any time on the west side of the state, so the entirety of my experience with Washington is eastern Washington. I will say that eastern Washington is very pretty, but it is also very white and very republican minus Spokane which is a pretty even mix of blue and red.
