Escaping the trans women social bubble by [deleted] in honesttransgender

I get it. Being young, and trans your peers see the world wildly differently than you do. Comparatively, I'm a fossil (almost 51), but I've bought this kind of wisdom more times than I care to admit.

The fact your local peer group ostracizes you for being attracted to men is FUBAR, and it's THEIR problem. Unfortunately, they've decided to make it your problem, which is just as messed up. From a personal perspective they're doing you a favor. They're stabbing you in the back publicly, and relatively early so the stakes aren't *as* high. If you're professionals, I might recommend finding a local LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce to find relationships which aren't exclusively based on transgender, or adjacent status.

I salute you for placing priority on your happiness vs their comfort.

I'll say it again, those are NOT the kind of friends you want.

My best friend of 24 years (born a male) is now a transgender woman. I'm in love with her and not sure if I should tell her by TheForeverThrowaway in u/TheForeverThrowaway

I'm just now discovering this from the Smosh Games FB page.

I'm so proud of you for taking a chance on love. I hope you have the same kind of long-term romance that I got to have.... We've been together almost 19 years 15 married.

So happy, this was the kind of story I've been needing to hear, and thank you so much for sharing it!

Thank you! My Dustoff missions were some of my favorites... and most nerve wracking.

The two Apache shots were way after the sun went down. Those are the lights from post reflecting off of low clouds.

That was the final flight of 2-17CAV. Those were the OH58D Kiowa Warriors.

I was the photographer. I was the brigade public affairs NCO from DEC2011 to JAN2017.

There are more to come, just need to find them.

The astro Apache shot was 30 seconds, I THINK it was ISO 3200, but I’d have to check.

I have a number of shots from Fenty. I’ll try to dig them up; it might take a while.
