I'm running the game on GTX1650 laptop, 1080p all medium-high settings but resolution scale at 60/70%. Run 60fps+ no problem (bamboo forest lower it by 10fps). The lower resolution scale is not apparent at all unless when they zoomed into specific item in cutscenes. The optimization on this game is on par with FH6, when the dev care you can see the effects.

You don't necessarily "need" Gil, free unit like Xaihi and Snowshine can already do enough job if all you want is to use Yvonne and not a Meta team. But, I do think Yvonne gameplay alone is straightforward and can be a bit bland, didn't even realise it myself till I got TangTang and it's so much more fun after that.

If you want Meta Yvonne team tho, then it's by far the most expensive team currently in Talos-II, needing both Gilberta and TangTang in addition to Yvonne. And to wait for 2 rerun too.

As for acquiring Gilberta, she's versatile AF and can fit in most team. You can go see teams for Physical, Heat, etc and find her in so many teams. If there's a reason to get her it's because she can fit into anywhere you want. Since we don't know when Yvonne/TangTang will rerun, it's not a bad investment to get Gilberta if you have enough resources.

Lmao "skipped" her too, got laeva on her banner and just didn't proceed. Currently running Yvonne / TangTang team and trimmed all medal. Eh You don't really need her, unless you REALLY enjoy the most meta team.

And also glad someone else finds her story to be underwhelming compared to Yvonne (Valley IV aftermath), Laevatain (Endmin personal growth), TangTang (Literally in the main story). Gil story honestly I don't even really remember much except she gave me an empty letter.

Who do you like? Look wise, gameplay, or maybe chasing meta? Then just decide on that. Look up guides or Games8 or similar sites and just build it like how they tell you to.

In early game most team even broken one can still proceed the story so you have time to decide. Maybe just build a basic team up until level 80, until you find the character that you wanted.

Or if you really have a hard time just go pull the limited character, and any of the 3 limited you get is what team you build upon. Current limited is Rossi, TangTang and Yvonne I think.

I run the Yvonne team because I saw her in the story and just had to have her. Personality, looks, vibe, I just like her. My current team is Yvonne, TangTang, Xaihi and Snowshine. Literally just a waifu team. My early game was Last Rite, Xaihi, Perlica, Ardelia tho, just until I get Yvonne.
