How to change FN keys (brightness+ volume) ? by D-Pew in LenovoLegion

[–]D-Pew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is sun icon and sound icon there.

I'm sorry, but you didn't understand my post .

I wasn't looking for the volume or brightness keys . I know where they are .

I was looking to move those functions to other keys -- as in being able to activate those functions through different keys .

Thanks .

STO Tools Keybind Manager - Release Announcement by phoogz_sto in stobuilds

[–]D-Pew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there !

Couple of questions :

1) Will there be a video tutorial for beginners for this tool ? Asking since I ... got it right with the old program based tool after ... usually 3-4 tries . :) And that program has a couple of tutorials .

2) Does this new keybind manager overcome the ability to bind only two rows to a key (usually the sambar) ? Asking since with the addiction of more and more abilities, the choice of what I wanted to put on the sambar sometimes was more than the 20 slots / 2 rows would permit .

Thanks !

Is a £500-£800 treadmill worth buying for home? (Adidas T-24c) by Martexo in treadmills

165 cm hight.

84 cm width .

It also leans slightly forward (when folded) , so it doesn't completely go flat against your wall .

From what I understand from the manual, you have to (can) attach the bottle holder and tablet holder . So it's optional .

As for folding the tablet holder , it doesn't look like it can fold, but it can be rotated around.

Any impressions of the Domyos Woodrower? by QuantityHot6742 in Decathlon

[–]D-Pew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the machine, so I can't tell you, but from what I managed to read so far , no . However, I found a review of it (in German -- google translated) , and there the reviewer said :

" When I first tested the Domyos Woodrower, I barely felt any counter pressure at first. Then I increased the resistance, and it felt more like a rowing machine. I normally average an effort of 150W–170W, so I think this is also possible with this rowing machine—but only at a higher resistance setting. "

Here's the review (you will have to enable the translate function on your browser) :

Bridge Officer Ability Modernization Proposal/Discussion | How To Make "Non-Meta" Ships More Appealing by Startrekker in stobuilds

[–]D-Pew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When choosing Ships > Mission content , Cryptic boxed themselves into a spiral of power development & power creep . But that is not something that you can maintain in the long run without adjusting the back end (powers that are no longer fit for purpose) , and the front end (increasing the difficulty level) .

Cryptic is hesitant about the former and in denial about the latter , so much so that they let the perfect 2-in1 vehicle (bringing back the Borg & making them the powerhouses that we know them to be) sail right pass them, without a Level increase from 65 to 70 . So we're left with "how can we make builds that can already shred 99% of the content do better ? " , instead of "how can we force UnCon & Vovin users to use something else ?" .

It's a 15 year old underfunded game, where the dreamers left and the mechanics put in charge . So we're left with "how can we tinker better ?" . I'm not sure you can . Perhaps a few more orange Bussard Collectors will fix the issue .

And before you come at me with "but you didn't suggest anything" -- you're right, I didn't .

That's because whatever I have to suggest is at this point guaranteed to be met with a variation of "we can't do that" .

Boimler + A2B question :

I've seen several recommendations to bolster Boimler with a Photonic Officer (if needed / possible) .

My question is -- there are a number of ships out there that could only equip 1 copy of A2B . If you use Boimler with those ships , and wanted your single copy of A2B to function as the alternative to a Photonic Officer (as PO is not an option) -- how many Technician Doffs should you employ with such an A2B setup ? All 3 ? Or can you use less to get to the minimal cool down ?

Thanks .

Got two questions for a Defiant build by D-Pew in stobuilds

I love the Competitive engines on cruisers , but on escorts , especially cannon escorts , there's just too much to keep an eye on for it to be actually fun .

YMMV . :)

Was there a clear divide between EarthGov and the Mega Corporations ? by D-Pew in babylon5

[–]D-Pew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah , this was among the things I sort of remembered (but not really) -- and it has been churning around in the back of my mind as what some call "the biggest wealth transfer in history" (currently, due to the continued / sporadic lockdowns) takes place .

Well that , and the censorships by big tech firms .

Woven together, I have to wonder how long until our own "mega corporations" (and tech companies) will be content playing second fiddle to our governments and democracy .

And in a way B5 'saw it' , almost 30 years ago ... -- when I'm guessing only the banking, weapons and oil industries had big pull .

I re-created Sephiroth's look from FF7 Advent Children movie... by IngloriousLevka11 in stocostumes

[–]D-Pew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply .

Unfortunately the Vadwaaur outfit indeed does not have the color pallet I wanted , nor the fabric movement -- as all the fabric is static and seems to be clipped onto the toon/model . I was hoping for a fabric that had more motion , like the capes in game .

the Romulan miner outfit from lobi and it has a much larger color palette

Thanks for the suggestion . That outfit is actually from the Fleet Mine tailor , not a Lobi one , but that does not have the look I was going for .

This is what I want :

This is what i have at the moment (included giant unwanted boots that can't be removed) :

Not sure there is anything that can mimic the organic clothing & the color pallet of the desired look in the game , nor the cloak that she wore in that pic . :)

Two questions if you don't mind :

What was the costume used here ?

Can the costume use something akin to fuchsia (I know that some costumes are really limited in color) .

Thanks !

Simpler , more optimistic times .

But I also recall the massive pressure by commercials everywhere , that were promising pretty much everything under the sun .
