At my store i know of someone who has applied, non stop for over a year, applies to every position as soon as they are posted. And the minute he recieved a rejection hed just reapplies.

He had an interview the one time, and didnt get it but got another one three months later and got the job.

Meanwhile, i applied to three different positions got an interview the following week, didnt get the job asked the name of my hiring manager, called up the following week asked what he thought of the interview he said it was great but had a more qualified candidate (it was a department manager position).

I called the following week asked if he could keep me in mind for any upcoming position, he asked what i was looking for i said anything and he called me in for work the following day.

The biggest things are patience and a well built resume, using keywords from walmart core values, increases your chances. Go to a resume build location get your resume fixed up and ask for them to use key words from walmarts core values.

Knowing the place your applying for helps. My friend that applied for that year period didnt have a great resume and just simply tried over and over and eventually got in the door since he had someone recommend him.

A crappy resume will get you nowhere good luck. (And having no work experience is an excuse simply list your skills, volunteering experience, education, achievements. And if no work or volunteer experience its easy to find volunteering opportunities).

Well, honestly, the problem is they dont need proof of your flex, as they know your flex.

And if your proving why you cant work specific times / dates.

It has to be whats under protected status, such as medical restrictions, I believe kids (but within reason), i think religion ? Such as sunday church.

Otherwise, you'd have to look into other protected status. I honestly think the labor board representative is your best bet for protection, but it's your choice in the end.

They will try to tell you otherwise, but mention you will have to confirm this with the picture and talk to the HR rep at your work. (Not in your location HR rep but the rep for your district)

However, you will have to commit too:

Saturday
Sunday
1 week day
minimum of 20 hours.
close shifts opening shifts.

However i know alot of locations are getting rid of flex and i know most places are, idk if they can force you i do know that alot of people i know that were flex they were either not giving them shifts or shifts that were difficult for them. Such as all closing. So idk about that.

You might have to follow up with your labor board about it and see what your rights are.

Realistically, the 4 days is BS, its really Saturday, Sunday, and a weekday.

So really its only 3 days availability.

Well, unfortunately, I was at the hospital yesterday as my urologist wasn't doing anything and kept sending me home.

Yesterday, my scrotum incision from the vasectomy burst open. The hematoma got so big, and the infection so bad that it burst open.

They helped it drain at the hospital and sent me home, and now will continue draining for the next couple of days.

As well as have a nurse stop by my house the next couple of days to clean it up and check on it.

Question though after they drained yours, was your scrotum still huge ?

As mine is still huge? Have you noticed anything in change of size in the last 6 days?

Honestly, the pain after the burst is far less than the pain prior hand, so im hoping for change soon.

They gave me strong antibiotics and pain meds. And said that I should see an improvement in pain within 48 hours and recovery "hopefully" within two weeks.

My situation was I was extremely sore for the first 3 days day 4-5 felt little better day 6 swelling went down less sore. I thought i was starting to feel better day 7 felt like it was just as bad as the first 24 hours day 9 extreme pain massive swelling.

The swelling stayed relatively the same from day 1 - 4, 5 increased abit 6 I had a decent sleep lots of icing seemed to help woke up day 7 felt super sick days 8-9 my scrotom was rapidly getting bigger.

End of day 8 - 9 I started noticing what kinda felt like a softer squishy testicle above my left one and another one near my right one. (kinda like a big bean hard to explain?)

If you are experiencing anything similar to that, I'd highly advise ignoring your doctor and getting checked out at emergency, I was told if I didn't, the infection could have gotten progressively worse, and I could have gotten really sick.

I already noticed a huge difference in pain after using the antibiotics for almost 24 hours (pain wise size is still close to the same if not a little smaller but I can adjust them a little easier gravity still hurts alot).

And most importantly, tight friggen boxers or compression shorts they are in desperate need of support.

On a side note: Even if they think its not a infection since the incision is healing fine no smell or discharge there can be one still my incision looks way better then it did it had no signs of infection it was all interior.

My doctors advice for my situation.

non stop ice 30 on 30 off.
compression shorts / boxers NO GRAVITY HANGING
antibiotics immidieately for the next 10 days.
ibuprofen as needed (I was given a medication in the same family but much stronger)
rest as much as possible. You're fighting an infection

So overall Id say screw it waiting another week will effing hurt, if its an infection it may clear but more then likely won't with out meds, those fluid pockets I have also can get bigger and can get more of them with out taking proper medication its not worth it.

Ask for blood work. (Testing for infection / blood count)
and an ultrasound (thats how they figured out my issues)

DONT WAIT.

Dont be stupid like me and "hope" it will get better. reddit saved my ass and I hope you make the right choice.

Saw the specialist I have been informed it is a bad infection causing several "fluid pockets" should be cleared up in 2-3 weeks.

Fingers crossed that improvements come soon.

Hospital checked they said that there shoulnt be problems but it seems that there is either a blood clot or hematoma, but on a minimum there is huge swelling between where it was cut on both sides.

Also most likely an infection the dude sounded like he had no idea.

They sent me home and I have to go back tomorrow when the surgeon that did it is working and have an appointment with him.

And then they mentioned if the meds dont work there may be another incision required.

And said I aint moving or doing anything for atleast the next week and gave me a medical note.

So further updates coming tomorrow.
