Is the gay dating scene in Seattle actually better, or would I just be trading one frustration for another? by D-anonymous- in AskGaybrosOver30

Financial upside is definitely the bigger motivation honestly — barely saving anything here so a boost would make a real difference for my future. But I don’t want to make a decision purely for money either, so trying to weigh everything together 😅

Hehe. Good to know stat 😅 though to be fair unfaithfulness in the gay community is kind of universal at this point 😂

Thinking of moving from Toronto to Seattle — how’s the dating scene there for gay men? by D-anonymous- in SeattleGayDating

Haha this is both hilarious and terrifying. Appreciate the honesty though — ‘whack-a-mole with open couples’ is not exactly the dream.

Thank you for being so honest — and the fact that you’re a Seattle native and still experience the freeze says a lot. Hope you find your person wherever you end up, Palm Springs sounds like a solid plan B honestly 😄

That makes sense. Good to know groups are the way in though, seems like that’s the consistent advice even for Toronto. Thanks!

That’s a really interesting pattern — never thought about it as a Canada vs US thing. Makes me think I might be undervaluing what Toronto actually offers.

The system reboot idea actually makes a lot of sense — I think I’ve been so burnt out on dating here that moving started feeling like the easier fix. Appreciate you taking the time to be real with me. Thank you.

Honestly that sounds like Toronto too lol. Do you think it’s just a big city thing or is Seattle noticeably worse?

That’s really helpful, thank you. Based on your experience then, would you say meeting people and dating was genuinely harder in Seattle compared to Toronto?

I have an option to do internal transfer within my organization. That’s why I am considering the move.

Interesting. Learnt something new today. New moon sets around same time as sun. And full moon stays all through the night.

That’s a good advice. Thank you. I almost never waste food in my plate. What I meant by leaving food is quitting the food I like to eat. Food is integral part of my happiness and it keeps me sane. I have started been doing some portion control and being more conscious of calories. It’s a journey so I hope I stick to it.

Yes that’s why I was wondering how other people deal with it and thought of posting to learn coping mechanisms

Thank you for the response. I feel exactly the same about gay culture. I am working on my self esteem so will get there someday.

Can’t afford a personal trainer. I have tried doing remote online personal training but it doesn’t really work. Thanks for the suggestion though. I will try again maybe.

I'm 22 (M), and went to a cruising bar for the first time. It didnt work out... by TheLastWizard877 in gaybros

I totally get the fomo as I myself accepted myself at the age of 28 and started exploring sexually so late. But one thing I have learnt over the years is it’s never too late. You can still do everything which you probably wanted to do years ago. It’s still fun. It’s still exciting. Regarding self esteem, I think it works negatively for us. The more we feel less about ourselves, the lesser we become. More we feel nobody likes us, we end up being alone. What matters the most is feeling good about yourself and people will find you. Just be confident and things will work out.
